ŽELEZNÁ, Zuzana
We speak of hearing as one of the most important senses of every human being. With its help, we are able to fully perceive the world around us. Accepting auditory perceptions makes it very easy for us to communicate with other people, it is easier to integrate into a social group. If we can completely receive and distinguish sound pulses, we are able to respond to them accordingly. This professional work is focused on the quality of life of people with hearing impairment, their socialization and the possibility of employment in the work environment. In this case, it is a one-case study of a deaf man who was born healthy (hearing person).

Železná, Zuzana ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
The subject of my thesis is the legal aspects of Contract for the ensuring of providing health services paid from the public health insurance and their reimbursement and Special contract for the ensuring of providing nursing care in social welfare service facilities with residential services and their reimbursement. The regulation of such contractual relationships is confusing, incomplete and does not correspond to the needs of their participants. This thesis should contribute to the solution to the problems. Its aim is to provide a comprehensive text that would deal with the presented issue and that would critically evaluate the current legislation of these contractual relationships and suggest possible solutions. The introductory part briefly describes the ways of funding the health care, the system of the public health insurance in the Czech Republic, its legislation and kinds of relationships that arise within it. The main part is devoted to describing legal aspects of the above mentioned Contracts as well as the problems of contractual parties originating from the existing legislation. The final part of the paper is focused on legal considerations de lege ferenda.

Laymen contribute to openness of justice, fairness and legitimation of rulings as well as control the judges and help to strengthen citizens' confidence in judiciary and law observance. There is a long tradition of this element in the Czech Republic. Despite this fact, the abolition of lay-judges in District Courts is being considered these days. In addition, within the Czech legal literature the issue of participation of the lay element in criminal justice is marginalized. With regards to these facts I have decided to write this thesis in order to assess effectiveness of proposed lay-judge abolition, and to bring the issue of popular justice closer to the reader. My thesis is divided into five parts. The introductory section explains why I have chosen the topic, what the aims of my thesis are, and what methods have been used for their achievement. In the first part I have focused on the lay element in the Czech criminal justice, lay-judges. Its four subchapters describe the institute, the methods of its creation and...
