Effects of New Qinazoline Derivate on the Respiratory System

Title of rigorous thesis: Effects of new qinazoline derivate on the respiratory system The diseases of airways are a grave health, social and economic problem. To treatment of asthma is traditionaly used an Asiatic plant Justicia adhatoda, Acathaceae. For therapeutic effects of plant are responsible quinazoline alcaloids vasicine and vasicinone. The aim of this presented work was to determine a bronchodilator potential of derivates of quinazoline alcaloids, VN-027 (4-[3-(piperidine- 1-yl)propyloxy]pyrimidine) and VN-033 (2-[3-(piperidine- 1-yl)propylsulphanyl]quinoxaline). For evaluation theirs relaxing effect on smooth muscle of airway we used a method of isolated rat trachea. After pre-contraction by carbachol (10-5 M) was every sample of smooth muscle of trachea relaxed by growing concentration (10-7 to 10-2 M) of test substances, for maximal relaxing of trachea we used theophylline (10-2 M) in the end of experiment. From grained values we built the DRC curves in programme GraphPad and calculated the values of EC50 (1,115.10-3 for VN-027 and 6,404.10-6 for VN-033). Toxicology of new psychotropic drugs

Title of diploma thesis: Toxicology of new psychotropic drugs This diploma thesis deals with the aspects of the psychotropic drugs, which were classed in a novella of a law about addictive substances Nr. 106/2011 of statute book. Psychotropic drugs, whitch come on drugs trade (especially thanks the webstores), represent various group of substances mainly synthetic origin. Many of them are products of scientific research on the way of discovery of new medication (Carfentanil, Ketamine). Because of a danger of an addictive potentiality, most of them don't use in medicine (e.g. MDPV, Bromo- DragonFLY). Only a bit is known about pharmacological and toxicological effects on human body of those substances, we donť know exactly their destiny in a human organism. The psychotropic efect is mediated by efect on receptors of central nervous system (5-HT1A, 5-HT2A, CB1) or on release of neurotransmitters (e.g. noradrenaline, serotonin). Acute or chronic use means danger for health, combination with alcohol or with another psychoactive substances often leads to death.

Specific needs of patients during negative pressure wound therapy

The diploma thesis entitled Specific needs of patients during negative pressure wound therapy, consists of two main parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes findings from research and publications dealing with the issues of wound healing through local application of vacuum therapy, treatment with other methods of wet healing, the impact of long-term non-healing wounds on human needs and the role of the nurse in this scenario. The practical part of the diploma thesis refers to the quantitative research carried out by 46 respondents who were treated with a negative vacuum method, another method of wet healing or a combined form.

Effectiveness of cooperation of family and home care agency in nurse care of senior citizens during the period immediately after discharge from hospital

I wanted to support and make visible the importance of providing the Czech Red Cross home care service in Strakonice concerning senior care in their own houses. The theoretical part deals with senior person, family, and home care characteristic. The survey part is processed by means of qualitative research methodology, where inquirers were nurses of the home care and clients with families, who used their service. Objective of this thesis was to find out, if the family members use the home care service in the process of senior care and which area their cooperation consists in. The outcomes are processed using interviews with the nurses of the home care and with the family members and seniors. Main research questions were: What is the way the patient and his/her family are informed about opportunities of using home care service when discharging from hospital? To what extent do family members use the service of home care? Do family members miss some particular activity beyond contemporary provided services? How does the family cooperate with the home care nurses in care of the senior after his/her discharge from hospital treatment? What activity do the family members need to be done by the home care nurses in senior care after patient's discharge from hospital treatment? On the basis of these questions we were creating sub-questions to the interviews with home care nurses and families with clients. Nurses were answering 16 questions and the family with seniors 13 questions. This thesis is written for conclusiveness of the importance and the irreplaceable of the home care in the process of treatment of the senior in his/her natural environment. The result of the thesis points to contentment and indispensability of provided service by the client.
