Digital microphone signal processing

The aim of this work is to implement digital filters into programmable gate array. The work also includes a description of the MEMS technology, including comparisons with the technology of MEMS microphones from various manufacturers. Another part is devoted to the Sigma-delta modulation. The main section is the design and implementation of digital CIC and FIR filters for signal processing of digital microphone, including simulation and verification of properties of the proposed filter in Matlab.

Robotic arm control

This thesis deals with microprocessor system, which be intended for control of robotic arm by RC servos. The first part includes familiarization with the problems of controlling the robot. The second part contains proposal of microcontroller and electronics necessary for communication with personal computer and creating scheme and printed circuit board. The last part of this work is devoted to software of microcontroller.

Electronical alarm system for family house

The aim of this work is to propose an electronic security system for the house, tha will be respond to the security violation by using siren and GSM module. The objectives of this work include programming software for central unit and debugging that software. The proposed central unit would be compatible with commonly solded sensors and sirens.

Text separation

This bachelor’s thesis describes basic methods of picture segmentation for the purpose of separation of text from a background. In first part are described general methods meant for picture processing. There is described verging, edge detection and interference reduction. In second part are defined categories of text in picture. Third part is focused on program which will help with picture segmentation.

LIN bus tester

Submitted bachelor thesis occupies by implementation and realization hardware and software of testing node for LIN bus. Testing slave node is used for testing and making master node. For realization slave node was chosen 8 bit microcontroller from company Freescale type MC9S08DZ60 and LIN transceiver MC33661. Created testing slave node supports LIN version 1.3. Node communicates with superior computer through RS232 bus. On this bus node sends information about transfer and it is able to process commands which are sending through RS232 bus.

Temperature control and monitoring system

This work is dealing with the design for maintaining and monitoring optimal temperature for home-based data center. The purpose of this work is to prolong the life of hard drives in data center for as long as possible. First of all, the attention is given to establishing what the optimal temperature for maintaining long-live of hard drives is and how to correctly measure it. Based on the knowledge obtained from theory and from the prototype testing the final design of embedded system for maintaining this function is created.

Wireless PC controll

This work deals with design of PC remote control, which is able to control computer with operating system Windows and Linux using Wifi connection. There was also created necessary support software for both operating systems. Communication was secured by ciphering algorithm.

Digital device for supervising and evaluating outdoor activities

This project deals with development of portable electronic device which brings new opportunities to leisure activities and their evaluating. At first, analysis of devices available on market and their acquisitions is made, then tips and ideas of new activities, which would be played with digital devices, summation of features, that the device would do, choosing adequate components, their assembly, configuration and programming. After it, domonstration of the device is described and this document is summarized.

This work deals with the matter of Virtual Private Network (VPN) utilizing both contemporary and older protocols and the possibilities of their use. Among the most interesting parts there are those presenting various ways of use of the VPN technology, IPSec protocol, IOS SSLVPN and RSA server with HW token ensuring the two-factor user authentication.
