Development of application for simulation of physicals effects for the area of mechanics
Libiš, Zdeněk ; Káňa, Ladislav (referee) ; Holcman, Vladimír (advisor)
The object of this project is to create complex educational software for studying computer practise in physics at FEEC VUT in Brno. This thesis deals with creating of simulative applications for five phenomenons: free fall, vertical throw upwards, horizontal throw, oblique throw, harmonic motion. These simulations were created in the program called Builder 6, in the language C++. Graphic format of the programs is similar. In the simulations is possible to insert basic input quantities for every phenomenon, for which is pictured the chart, which characterizes the phenomenon. In the thesis are described input quantities for every simulation and pictured charts. For this phenomenon are described physics theories as well. In the next step was created interface for the choice of a phenomenon and for starting relevant programs. It is possible to fill next phenomenon in this interface thanks to the editable file. In the thesis is described the purport of physics in the contemporary World as well as the meaning of the modelling of physical phenomenon.
Characterization of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics
Šťastná, Magdaléna ; Holcman, Vladimír (referee) ; Tofel, Pavel (advisor)
This project is focused on lead-free piezoelectric ceramics which are meda in CEITEC. Behaviour of these ceramics is quite different from the lead one. The first part is dedicated to dielectrics and its polarisation techniques. These techniques also include the piezoelectric effect which occurs only in crystals without central symmetry. The following part is focused on piezoelectric materials, piezoelectric polymers and piezoelectric ceramics respectively. The next section of the project is dedicated to the design of an experimental workplace for direct measurement of the piezoelectric charge coefficient đť‘‘33. The experimental part of the work is focused on electric characterisation of lead-free piezoceramics.
Fiber-optic sensors for biomedicine: experimental study of plastic optical fibers
Nácovský, Tomáš ; Holcman, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with experimental study of microstructured polymer optical fibres (mPOF) and more specifically with mPOF (microstructured Polymer Optical Fibres) and their possible application in optical fiber sensors as well as experimental assembling of these sensors.
Flexible generators of electrical energy
Tesařová, Tereza ; Holcman, Vladimír (referee) ; Tofel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on actual research part of energy harvesting technologies – flexible electrical generators, which mean the special generating of electricity using specific flexible materials. The net charge result is affected by the incidental mechanism to transform certain energy form into electrical power and is influenced of material range, which determines what will be harnessed as a source of energy. The energy harvesting is aiming at producing alternative and efficient ways instead of harmful and strained manufacture processing.
Physical properties of steam sterilization
Kotlánová, Markéta ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Holcman, Vladimír (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with finding, measurement and evaluation of suitable physical parameters for quality analysis of saturated steam sterilization according to ČSN EN 285 + A2, which is the first step for the replacement of outdated processes of the analysis by modern automation systems. The other part of the project contains description of physical sterilization, saturated steam, methods and sensors for the monitoring of steam sterilization and the measurement and evaluation of these issues.
Influence of High Concentration of Silica Nanoparticles on the Dielectric Spectra
Soud, Ammar Al ; Daradkeh, Samer ; Knápek, Alexandr ; Liedermann, Karel ; Holcman, Vladimír ; Sobola, Dinara
In the presented work, we report the dielectricbehavior of epoxy–silicon oxide composites in the temperaturerange 240– 300 K, over the frequency range 10-2 Hz – 107 Hz. Themeasuring apparatus was based on the Novocontrol AlphaAnalyser and the measured data were analyzed and interpretedusing the Havriliak – Negami equation. The master curves of thereal part of permittivity and the dielectric loss number wereobtained by time–temperature superposition principle, and theresults showed that the nano-composite had a much higher lossfactor. Through the analysis of the origin of the dielectric responsein epoxy/silica composite, the reason for the different dielectricrelaxation behaviors of the nano-composite, and the pure epoxywas discussed.
Analysis of electrical properties of ionic-liquid-based polymer electrolytes with respect to their crystallinity
Chválová, Zuzana Lujza ; Holcman, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
Solid polymer electrolytes based on ionic liquids are promising materials to replace conventional liquid electrolytes for electrochemical technologies. This bachelor’s thesis deals with their electrical characterization using dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. Mainly their electrical conductivity is analyzed and the results are described with respect to the different level of the crystalline structure of the electrolytes, caused by different preparation conditions. Subsequently, the work focused on the description of the charge transport mechanism, ion conductivity models, and their verification. The results showed that the crystallinity of the electrolytes decreases with the increase of evaporated solvent, which also leads to an increase in their conductivity. Jonscher type power law, which generally describes charge transport mechanisms in the studied electrolytes, and Dyre’s model, which is suitable for describing conductivity at higher frequencies, were verified.
Design of algorithms for a continuous steam quality measurement system
Hanák, Tomáš ; Tofel, Pavel (referee) ; Holcman, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with proposal of algorithm for continuous system of sterilizated steam. At the beginning we deal with the process of sterilization and its methods. Later on we talk over about the saturated steam and parameters of saturated steam. At the end of the bachelors thesis we discuss about current measurement of sterilization steam quality. Then, the procedure of simultaneous measurement of sterilization steam quality is described here. The last part is the evaluation of measured data and presentation of their results.

Preparation and optimization of electrospun materials suitable as electricity generators
Pokorná, Romana ; Holcman, Vladimír (referee) ; Tofel, Pavel (advisor)
This master's thesis is focused on energy harvesting and is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the dielectric parameters, the meaning of the piezoelectric and triboelectric effect and the principles of electric energy gain in energy havesting. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to various electrospun materials suitable for energy harvesting. The practical part of the work deals with nanofibers as an energy generator and describes their dielectric parameters. In this part the relative permittivity and loss factor of selected types of nanofibers are measured. Also the triboelectric nanogenerator is made and it's properties are measured.
