In the centre of the city, near Lužánky, there is a strange brownfield that represents an interesting mix of past and present. This place has been the target of many plans and visions, but their fate has been different. Some have come to fruition, others have remained on paper, waiting for their chance. Different people have been involved in the creation of this complex space, coming and going over time, creating a distinct entity with many faces. Here you will find a luxury hotel, abandoned sports venues from the past and tennis courts still attracting sports enthusiasts. All this is complemented by a vast car park that seems to be a kind of inhospitable oasis in the middle of the city's concrete. But behind this urban kaleidoscope lies Planýrka, a special piece of nature in the heart of the city. Only the beaten paths and untrodden greenery here testify to a life that takes place beyond the reach of human hands, a life according to its own rules.

The area in question is located near the city center and has significant historical importance as the main territory of Brno football and hockey. However, in its current state, it is almost inaccessible to pedestrians due to fragmentation and being cut off from the surrounding urban structure. The project aims to create paths and sidewalks for runners, pedestrians, and cyclists, which will improve accessibility and movement in the area. At the same time, it will expand Lužánky Park as a popular place for recreation. The project works with existing fragments of past plans and takes into account spatial and historical facts. The proposed changes include solutions to urban and architectural aspects, as well as new sports facilities that will support the diversity and multifunctionality of the area.

The former Brno stadium Za Lužánkami, located on the border of the Botanical Garden of MENDEL, the wild hillside Planýrka and Lužánky Park. Thanks to the clay mass of the stands and the fact that the last official match was played at the stadium in 2001, nature is beginning to take over. It is therefore possible to leave the stadium to continue to create specific conditions for different plant species, but at the same time to use the potential of the standing reinforced concrete structure in its southern part and hand it over to the student association? Finding a suitable solution for this situation and avoiding the gentrification of other urban spaces was my goal in of this thesis.

The human mind and body are designed to be in nature, and stress is a natural means of ensuring survival. But how to deal with the stress caused by the Internet environment, social media and modern technology? How to find a balance between the real world and life in the online space? Restart attempts to answer these questions. It is a project of an offline centre that offers ideal conditions for regeneration of body and soul, providing incentives to restore a balanced lifestyle and rediscover life energy.

The final work responds to the global warming trend in the form of a park zone with edible vegetation. This serves as a food source for the residents and also supports the species biodiversity near the city centre. The design makes use of natural resources and creates an efficient rainwater harvesting system from the adjacent area surrounding the site. The heart of the site becomes the former football stadium building, which is used as a community garden and for educational purposes in conjunction with agriculture and nature.
Development of the cities in the early post-socialism. The impact of the liberalization in the nineties of the 20th century to the planned development of socialist modernism

Housing estate quarters of urban structures, that have been built in the period of socialism, currently suffer from the necessary urban transformations and neoplasms. While both here and in many other countries of the former Soviet satellites, is a form of housing estates and their development tied by regulations and "economic players" who determine the radical architectural or urban design changes, in areas of the former Soviet Union is the current form of housing units resulted by unguided architectural and urban interventions. Though in many cases, the expansive examples that are bordering with so called "folk art", we can observe on them the functional principles of "urbanity". They may represent a potential for future design and development of housing estates in the Czech Republic. The thesis will thematize the process of using bloc-of-flats areas in Czech republic as well as in economically low powerful countries, namely Moldova and Georgia. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, while new economic system has destroyed the original urban structure so called mikrorajon, with the development of small individualism the private sector has changed the form of the city housing estate. The total economic collapse and lack of spatial regulation began to offer an accessible alternative housing and place to do business. We can discover kiosks and gradually expanding parterres of real urban type. At the same time we can see new front of street responding to space reserves and distance, as well as appearance of vertical streets inside the houses. The construction itself is no longer just a place for living, but many flats are used as offices and small businesses. Services are developed and the total value of diversity of the environment begins to grow rapidly. Typical monotony of housing units is starting to fade and transformed into a network monitoring the needs of the population. Thus the periphery offer a distinctive part of the city.

Bejčková, Jana ; Sedlák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the measurement of car deceleration during engine braking from different starting speeds and different speed gears with a sample of vehicles. This piece of work consists of a theoretical part, where problem background is defined, selected driving parameters including the manner how to measure them are explained and the facts in the field of structural characteristics of the vehicle are given, further from a design of measurement methodology that gives an overall plan of implementation, all the respective information and a description of handling with decelerometer, further from a real measurement of the deceleration including an interpretation of partial obtained values and finally from the evaluation of all results with appropriate conclusions.
