The thesis deals with an alternative approach to the densification of development in the form of Baugruppe in the context of brownfield redevelopment in the town of Rosice. The work includes the search for a development that will contribute to its surroundings and its existing residents in the form of amenities and support public life in the wider area. The proposal questions the limits of conventional development and seeks an alternative to living in one's own home which is also part of the wider community.

Nowadays, it is essential to find ways to integrate the old urban fabric into the contemporary city and to fight against the emergence of mono-functional zones in small towns like Rosice. In addition to the large cities, smaller communities within commuting distance are also struggling with a process of densification that has for the most part been solved by exporting dense patterns from cities or building typologies that do not always fit these suburban conditions. Often, it is precisely by improperly intervening and simply copying dense urban models that the distinctive identity of a place is lost, and this intervention is not adequate to the complex context of these suburban areas with their seemingly disordered heterogeneous landscapes. By exploring alternative forms of housing, different and new forms can emerge, which can promote precisely diversity and new approaches, while at the same time leading to the integration of this heterogeneous urban landscape and combating the diagnoses of postmodern society.
Baugruppe in Rosice u Brna
Calíková, Natália ; Krištof, Michal (referee) ; Suchánek, Radek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of Baugruppe and its application in the town of Rosice. It is an approach to housing that is currently used in some countries of Western Europe, but is not yet well represented in the Czech Republic. It is a response to the current state of housing affordability in the Czech Republic and to highlight a housing tip with a good quality/price ratio. At the same time, it is about bringing this topic of housing closer to the society. The thesis is related to the pre-diploma thesis, in which three parcels of the town of Rosice were dealt with and different approaches to deal with the area were sought. The diploma is a response to one of the selected parcel with the actual design of a building with participatory housing.

Ondrušová, Alica ; Janďourek, Jiří (referee) ; Suchánek, Radek (advisor)
This work is dedicated to the problem of unaffordability of housing in modern cities and seeks for solutions using the participatory baugruppe method. The issue of availability of housing is part of the complex and dynamic organism of every urbanized environment. The aim of the work is to examine why housing is unaffordable for many residents and how we can help them. We are looking for ways to overcome the barriers that still prevent people from accessing affordable and quality housing. The baugruppe participatory housing method, which involves the community in the process of designing and building their housing, appears to be a promising way to achieve this balance. It is necessary to find a balance between the effort to preserve the authentic form of the urban environment and the need for new, current solutions in the field of residential architecture. The baugruppe method can help us create a sustainable and inclusive urban environment where all residents can find a home.

The result of this diploma project was the verification of feasibility of the project in the given place.

Infuse of specialization on structure cities, rural habitat and landscape
Štěpánek, Martin ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Suchánek, Radek (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
Specialization and concentration of human activity is a phenomenon which accompanies the development of human settlements from their very beginning. While thoroughly explored in other fields, interconnection between pecialisation, on one hand, and urbanism and architecture, on the other, has been neglected. Nevertheless, this issue is of high ignificance since it determines the settlement structure development to a large extent. If understood correctly, this underlying principle of the impact of specialisation and concentration on the settlement development offers a new insight into historical context and enables one to understand the present development.
