Proposal of the Expansion for the Czech Company to the New Zeland Markets

The subject of the thesis is the proposal of the expansion strategy of the selected company in the New Zealand market. The selected company is based in Brno and is engaged in the production of equipment for wastewater treatment. The thesis is divided into four parts. The introductory part defines the problem, sets the main and sub-objectives to be achieved and describes the methods used. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of the problem addressed. This part is followed by an analytical part with an analysis of the current state of society. The last part contains the actual solution proposals, including a financial plan and timetable.

Vranov Dam and the village of Bítov in the context of 20th century history

PhDr. Alena Míšková, Ph.D. Abstract: This thesis is focused on the construction of the Vranov Dam and its consequences. It describes a development of dams both in the Czech republic and in the world. It also analyses reasons for a regulation of the Dyje river, possible alternatives and historical events leading to development of hydroengineering structure near the village of Vranov nad Dyjí. The paper is also focused on people's lives in the village of Bítov, which had to be flooded with regards to construction of the dam. Proposed alternatives of architectonical solution of the new village Bítov, which was built as a replacement for inhabitants of "old" Bítov, are presented, as well as the life of Georg Haas von Hasenfels, the last owner of the Bítov Castle and its abutting domain. Využití konceptu CSR u společností působících v oblasti vodohospodářství

The work deals with the evaluation of the use of the concept of corporate social responsibility in selected companies operating in the field of water management. Based on the analysis, it is found that all selected companies in the field are aware of the concept of social responsibility and have an active approach within this concept. The area with the lowest rating across selected companies is community engagement and development. According to the information obtained there are also recommendations for individual areas of social responsibility in the structure of the ISO 26000 standard and also recommendations resulting from the evaluation of secondary data (indicators specific to the field of water management).

The GPU Accelerated Optimisation of the Water Management Systems

Subject of this thesis is optimalization of storage function of water management system. The work is based on dissertation thesis of Ing. Pavel Menšík Ph.D. Automatization of storage function of water management system. As optimalization method was chosen diferential evolution. Sequential version of the method will be implemented as a first step, followed by CPU accelerated and GPU accelerated versions.

Historical treatment of land in Jihočeském kraji

The work describes the historical treatment of land in the South Region for the period: Rosenberg; Buquoys, Eggenberg and Schwarzenberg; after World War I.; after World War II.; after 1989. This work describes the changing of landscape in different seasons and informs about the most important adjustments, particularly in the fields of: fishing, forestry, water management and agriculture. There are elaborated landscaping history records from the beginning of the registration to the present. The work contains a treatise on colonization reforms, land consolidation, modern and contemporary land consolidation in the area of interest.

A company in the regulated Water Industry

The Thesis intends to introduce business in government regulated Water Industry, accurately the area of Water Supply and Sewerage. Its aim is to describe the business market of this field. Moreover, to find out whether the companies in private multinational corporation ownership don't burden their customers with too high price of water supply and find if there is any relationship between the price of water and the profitability of these enterprises. To achieve this aim, companies are categorized into five groups and compared. These groups are created on the basis of the shares of private foreign corporation. A separate group is made of companies that are in ownership of municipalities that means without the influence of private foreign corporations. Firstly the one component prices are compared, then two-component ones. In conclusion, these prices are compared to profitability of these enterprises.
