Chaloupková, Denisa ; Teplá, Milada (advisor) ; Martínek, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the processing of educational materials (animation and educational text) to support the teaching of cell signalling. The created materials are primarily intended for students of higher grammar schools and chemically oriented secondary schools and they are aimed at teaching the subject of chemistry and biology. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis includes the definition of basic concepts of visualization, visual or animation. Subsequently, it deals in more detail with animations, their advantages and disadvantages in teaching and it also deals with the effectiveness of the use of animations in teaching and the variables that affect this effectiveness. This chapter also presents the criteria that should be fulfilled when creating an educational animation and subsequent inclusion in the teaching process. Furthermore, in this part, there is an analysis of curricular documents performed, which is the Framework Education Programme and the School Education Programme related to the topic of cell signaling. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of already created videos freely available on the internet, which deal with the topic of cell signaling. Subsequently, it presents teaching materials that were created by the author of this work. The first teaching...
Activating Methods in Chemistry Supported by Mobile Applications
Andrlíková, Věra ; Teplá, Milada (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with activation methods in teaching Chemistry with support of mobile applications. The theoretical part deals with the topic of digital literacy. By analyzing the document Recommendations of the Council of the European Union focusing on key competences for life- long learning, it was concluded that a digital competence is one of their components. Therefore it is highly desirable for schools to include digital technologies in their curricula to develop pupils' skills in using them. In addition, the theoretical part introduces the concepts related to mobile learning and activation teaching methods. Consequnetly, specific mobile applications and activation teaching methods are introduced and used in the practical part. The practical part is devoted to the didactic design of nine activities for teaching Chemistry. The activation of students with the support of monile applications is emphasised in this part of the thesis. All activities have been developed using the CMIARE didactic cycle (goal, method, instruction, action, reflection, evaluation) which brings many elements of formative assessment. All activities were evaluated by a group of selected Chemistry teachers. The evaluations showed that all activities were applicable to teaching Chemistry at the grade level for which they...

Socratic Dialogue and Thinking
Černínová, Andrea ; Rybák, David (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Socratic Dialogue and Thinking" provides an insight into the life and philosophy of the ancient philosopher Socrates and brings a closer look at his concept of dialogue through which the truth is revealed. It also deals with the usage of the method of dialogue in teaching. The whole thesis was written with an effort to emphasize the importance of Socrates' philosophy in contrast with today's preference of an assertive way of communication, which often results in eristic dialectic. The aim of this bachelor thesis mainly is to describe Socrates' unique method of dialogue and to inspire a potential young reader, a high school student or his teacher. In the first instance, the thesis pursues Socrates' life and then deals with the term dialogue and with various conceptions of dialogue. Next section is about its Socratic conception. The conclusion of the thesis explains the pedagogical contribution of the Socratic method of dialogue to tuition. KEYWORDS Socrates, Plato, dialogue, dialectics, thinking, teaching
Systematic and ecological concept of biology teaching
Matoušová, Pavlína ; Hlaváčová, Lucie (advisor) ; Pavlasová, Lenka (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the comparison of two selected concepts of science teaching at primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the classification of science as an educational field, explains the possible concepts of its teaching and compares the advantages and disadvantages of two selected variants with reference to the fulfilment of educational goals and respect for didactic principles of science teaching. The available materials suitable for teaching, the degree of their use and the comparison of teaching methods depending on the success in scientific testing are also outlined. The practical part of the work brings a comparison of the results of a questionnaire survey between individual groups of ecologically and science-taught pupils. Individual tasks and questions were created on the basis of established hypotheses. The results of the research bring a comparison of the knowledge and skills area, but also the area of students' attitude towards the subject. The established hypothesis was confirmed partially, the attitude section brings in results to the research questions. Students taught ecologically were indeed more successful in the task that led to the connection of knowledge and derivation from the relationships between organisms, but the differetence were not...

Benková, Veronika ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Kainová, Lucie (referee)
TITLE: Influence of swimming on increasing flexibility as a component of the desterity of primary school pupils in the Louny region. AUTHOR: Bc. Veronika Benková DEPARTMENT: Department of physical education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Irena Svobodová ABSTRACT The aim of this thesis is to find out how basic swimming training taking place in Louny region affects joint mobility in children of younger school age and at the same time, compare the results of the measured group with similar, already conducted research from 2015 and 2018. In order to get results, proven joint mobility tests are used. Testing will take place twice in total; before the beginning and at the end of the swimming training, e. g. after the end of the ten two-hour lessons period. This research will be conducted for about ten weeks. Testing will take place at two primary schools. The test persons were divided according to gender into boys and girls, as well as whether they are non-swimmers and swimmers. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of younger school age, motor skills - especially joint mobility, swimming training and swimming. In the practical part, I describe individual flexibility tests and the results gained from these tests. The work showed that swimming helps to develop flexibility, but in comparison with previous...

Thesis TITLE: The Psárský forest in the district of Prague - West as a location of school science excursion AUTHOR: Bc. Michala Prokopcová DEPARTMENT: Department of Biology and Environmental Studies, Faculty of Education, Charles University SUPERVISOR: doc. RNDr. Vasilis Teodoridis, Ph.D. ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is to examine the Psárský forest locality in the Prague-West region as regards its suitability for a school science excursion. The principal objective of the thesis was to prepare and take a comprehensive science excursion to Psárský forest and verify its educational efficiency for pupils of lower secondary school grades by means of pedagogical research. The research was carried out through didactical tests comparing the initial knowledge before the excursion (pretest) and acquired knowledge after the excursion (posttest). The didactical concept of the science excursion to Psárský forest was elaborated in accordance with the key aspects of the field biology didactics and based on complex evaluation of the fields of interest for the excursion planned to become a basis for the excursion contents and selection of suitable places for excursion activities. In addition to this, subsequent research via the attitude questionnaire to identify the excursions benefits within natural science education from...
