Váchová, Markéta ; Urbánek, Petr (advisor) ; Majerčíková, Jana (referee) ; Stará, Jana (referee)
The dissertation is devoted to the subject of the teacher's working conditions in contemporary society. Since there are many types of conditions of a teacher's work and this issue can be examined from many points of view, I focused on the conditions that can cause morally dilemmatic situations in a teacher's work. The aim of the thesis is to open up a hitherto little discussed topic in the field of the teaching profession. The work has a theoretical-empirical character. Its theoretical part presents basic knowledge related to topics relevant to the issue under consideration (society; contemporary society; teacher and his work; teacher's profession; teacher's communication; stress in teaching work; moral dilemmas; moral distress). The aim of the research described in the methodological and practical part is to obtain detailed information about situations that represent a moral dilemma for teachers in their work. A mixed research approach was therefore undertaken to best fulfill this objective. The qualitative part contains twenty conducted semi-structured interviews with selected teachers on the topic of morally dilemmatic situations in their work. This was followed by the analysis of interviews and the division of morally dilemmatic situations into categories: teacher vs. parents of pupils; teacher...

Ďurkech, Pavol ; Havelková, Lenka (advisor) ; Hofmann, Eduard (referee)
The thesis is focused on the changes caused by distance education (due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Specifically, how the pandemic influenced the position of school geographic atlases in relation to other tools in geography education and how was changed the use of the functions that this tool could provide. These changes were examined in three periods (pre-pandemic, pandemic and post- pandemic). The focus of the thesis also determines its individual objectives. First main objective of this thesis is to compare the position of printed school geography atlases in distance learning versus face-to-face learning in relation to other teaching tools used in geography education. Hence, the secondary objective, aimed at ranking the main teaching tools used in geography education in face-to-face learning and then capturing their possible transformation in the distance and post- distance learning. The functions and uses of these printed school geography atlases in the above periods are then examined. From this, the further objectives of the thesis are derived, namely to determine the functions that school geographic atlases might have performed and to characterize the possible transformation of the functions of the school geographic atlases and the ways of working with school geographic atlases in distance...

Kubátová, Michaela ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štech, Stanislav (referee) ; Švaříček, Roman (referee)
This dissertation deals with the issue of humour in the school environment. It aims to obtain data on humour used in the teaching of mathematics by teachers of Czech primary and secondary schools and on their basis to contribute to the theory of using humour to support the learning of pupils and students, especially to the issue of so-called humour techniques. Practical use for teaching professionals is expected output of this dissertation. The dissertation is structured as empirical research primarily built on qualitative methodology. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and analyzed according to the method of the so-called grounded theory (Strauss & Corbin, 1999). The amount of the data also enabled their quantitative analysis, whereas the dependence of the researched phenomena on predefined parameters was identified. The theoretical basis of the dissertation is founded upon the analysis of overview texts on humour in school environment and upon research studies dealing with the influence of humour on learning. The output of the literature search is the design of a new model of the forms of the use of humour in teaching and the definition of circumstances that may hinder or contribute to the positive impact of humour on learning. The result of the empirical...

Rejfová, Dominika ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Hyánková, Tereza (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Family Models: Teachers' views on this topic within curricula" explores how teachers deal with family models in teaching according to their professional experience. I am interested in how teachers perceive the inclusion of family models into teaching. Whether more time should be devoted to this topic in ZSV classes or whether, on the contrary, this topic is sufficiently represented in the curricula. I am focusing on whether teachers present only the traditional family as a model or whether they try to include other family models in their teaching. Other related questions are then derived from this. These include how teachers apply family models in their teaching, whether teachers are afraid to express their opinions or whether they feel constrained in their practice by the school or parents. In the theoretical part, I focus on the terminology of family, the teacher as a person, and the family in the curriculum and teaching. I want to highlight the importance of the family for the child and the factors influencing the form and functionality of the family. In the practical part, qualitative research is carried out based on the interviews with ten informants teaching ZSV in a high school. Based on the thematic analysis, it was found that informants evaluate the inclusion of family...
