Diseases of Civilization Prevention by a Lifestyle Modifications

The diploma thesis deals with the most common diseases of civilization and their prevention by a healthy lifestyle. The aim of this thesis is to map how people aged 18 - 65 follow a healthy lifestyle that leads to the prevention of diseases of civilization. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics and especially the prevention of the most common diseases of civilization, which include arterial hypertension, obesity, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis with its complications (atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases), or cancer. A healthy lifestyle includes proper nutrition, adequate physical activity, non-smoking, enough sleep and rest, reduced stress and the absence of tobacco and alcohol abuse. The practical part finds out the observance of the principles of a healthy lifestyle by a questionnaire survey. The research was conducted on 122 randomly selected persons without diseases of civilization aged 18 - 65 years. The results of the research show that most respondents do not pay much attention to a healthy lifestyle. Respondents eat a shortage of vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, fish and sour dairy products. The final thesis Safe Sport summarizes scientific theoretical knowledge with references to other relevant literature and presents a didactic material draft that can be used as a base for raising awareness and developing education in the field of safe sport in the Czech Republic. Text of the thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical. The first, theoretical part defines the term safe sport by summarizing professional concepts and scientific knowledge using the methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and compilation. In order to put these concepts and knowledge into context and to analyze the state of the Czech sport environment, they are supplemented by available case reports from the Czech media. The subsequent practical part of the thesis presents a proposal for didactic material reflecting the current situation and needs of the Czech sports environment. In addition to the theoretical scientific knowledge, it also includes practical suggestions for prevention and possible procedures for dealing with specific examples of situations that cross the boundaries of a safe sport environment. Title: Compensatory exercise as one of the possible means of injury prevention for tennis players Aim: The aim of this thesis was based on professional articles and available literature to identify and describe the most common injuries that occur in adult tennis players of all performance levels and then focus on creating a set of compensatory exercises (relaxing, strengthening and stretching) that could lead to reduction. risk of injury. Methods: The thesis was based on empirical character. Both findings from professional literature and articles published in peer-reviewed journals were used. The proposed compensatory exercises were selected on the basis of professional literature and articles, which focused either on the elimination of imbalances and injury prevention in tennis players, or on exercises typical and suitable for tennis player development, whether from performance (skill) or physical (physiological) point of view. Use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco among primary school pupils in the Central Bohemian Region: a questionaire study

Background: Use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco is on the rise both in the world and Czech Republic. Aforementioned products are often presented as less harmfull alternatives to traditional cigarettes, but an addiction can occur to these products nevertheless. Such devices are furthermore very attractive for adolescent population, which is in high risk of developing an addiction. Objectives: The Main goal of the research is to describe user specifications and an attitude of fifteen-year-old students from the Central Bohemian Region to e-cigarettes and heated tobacco. The sub-goals consist of: describing the way target group use the devices (in terms of where and with whom), answering if the members of the target group owns their personal devices, and means of acquisition of such devices. Methods: The research was carried out through collecting quantitative data via online survey tool. The survey in physical form was also distributed between students of selected schools in Central Bohemian Region. 54 schools were approached with the survey in two waves. Teachers burnout syndrome

Title: Burnout Syndrome among Teachers Objectives: The purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyse the burnout syndrome from the point of view of teachers who do not suffer from this syndrome. These teachers explain how they proceed to cope with a difficult period or different kinds of problems they are sometimes facing and how they manage to see their job as their personal fulfilment. Methods: The method used is Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). Data were collected during semi-structured interviews with four respondents. These interviews were recorded on a phone, transcribed word by word and then analysed. Results: The most important topics that resulted from the answers of responding teachers are: 1) Students as the main purpose of the job, 2) Shift in the point of view as a solution to the problem, 3) On-line life, lack of time and disillusionment of teachers, 4) Personal characteristics as a determining factor for the selection of suitable subject. Criminal recidivism is one of the key issues that criminology deals with. By finding a way to eliminate or at least reduce criminal recidivism we would extensively reduce overall crime rates. That is why it is important to continue in examining the causes of recidivism and the efforts of its reducement, and to develop and increase the knowledge in this sphere in accordance with the constantly evolving and changing society, so that we can react flexibly to the changes. The goal of this thesis is to show the historical development of the institute, the causes of recidivism, and the possible ways of prevention. In the first chapter I explain the term and different concepts of criminal recidivism. In the second chapter I summarize the historical development of the legislation of recidivism in our country. Chapter three focuses on the current legislation of recidivism. Based on different circumstances, recidivism can be the reason for a stricter punishment. Chapter number four deals with the causes and predictors of recidivism. Parents awareness of danger on the internet for their children in school age

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the extend to which parents are aware of the possible risks of the Internet and if they are trying to protect and educate their children in this particular area. The theoretical part consists of three parts - Internet and its risk related to the child, family and its media education and what is the possibility of preventing the dangers of using Internet. The empirical part of the bachelor thesis will conduct qualitative research where I aim to find out how parents are educated about the risky internet use and if they answers differ or not.
Evaluation of Zippy's friends for primary school age children

The thesis focuses on the Zippy's Friends prevention program, which is aimed at promoting social skills among children between 5-7 years of age. The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical framework for the main practical part. The goal was to conduct an evaluation of the implementation of this programme. The thesis is focused on alternative uses of the methodology and application. The data was obtained through semi-structured interviews with five respondents. The research shows that working with the methodology is not just a matter of the teacher within the classroom, but it involves a wider sphere of professionals working with children. In practice, the methodology is used not only for children between 5-7 years of age, but also for older children with various specificities. According to the respondents, some flexibility in working with the methodology and adapting it to the needs of specific children seems to be effective. According to interviewees, the Zippy's Friends methodology is a very versatile tool that can be used in different ways. However, the essence of the programme in the form of "Zippy Tips" and the Zippy's Friends story remains in most cases.
