Energy efficient building of a family house in Šumperk

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design a modern two-storey single-family house that minimizes energy consumption. The site is located in a new development area in Šumperk. The focus of the work is on designing an earth-sheltered home for a family of four and maximizing the usage of a steep building site. The first floor, accessible from the northwest, comprises service areas such as a garage, workroom, and utility room. On the east side of this floor, there is a bathroom, guest bedroom, and family room, which also serves as a home wellness area. The primary living area occupies the left part of the second floor and leads directly to the terrace. The right section of this floor is the rest zone, including a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a walk-in closet, two children's bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The load-bearing walls consist of aerated concrete blocks and sand lime blocks insulated with EPS. The horizontal structures are designed from in-situ reinforced concrete, ensuring structural integrity. A flat green roof helps the building blend into its surroundings and accumulates a significant part of the rainwater. The remaining water is stored in an underground tank and is used for garden irrigation and watering plants. The main source for heating, cooling, and hot water preparation is an air-to-water heat pump. During the day, it is partly powered by photovoltaic panels on the roof and remains connected to the grid. Building services include underfloor heating, cooling via a fan coil system, and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR). The energy performance certificate, categorized as A, is part of the documentation.
Small apartment building

The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the preparation of construction documentation for a small apartment building. The building is located on an almost perfectly flat area near the Morava River in Napajedla. The structure of the building consists of four above-ground floors and one underground floor, which is completely hidden below the terrain. The underground floor contains a technical room and communal garages. The above-ground floors contain a total of 12 apartment units and accessory spaces for these apartments. The estimated number of residents of the building is 34. None of the apartment units are designed to be barrier-free. However, access to the building is barrier-free, and the parking spaces include designated spots for the handicapped. The substructure is founded on piles, followed by monolithic reinforced concrete structures. These reinforced concrete structures transition to traditional masonry construction in the first above-ground floor, using a combination of ceramic blocks and monolithic reinforced concrete ceiling structures. The roof of the building is intended to be a flat green roof with extensive vegetation.
Energy-saving detached house

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to design a single-family house that is low-energy. The building is located in Hlučín, Opava district. The two-story detached L-shaped house features a flat sedum roof on the top and a flat roof that serves as a step-in terrace on the first floor. The main entrance is situated on the north-east side. The ground floor comprises a utility room, a small bathroom, a study room, a storage room under the staircase, and a social zone that includes the living room and a kitchen connected with the dining room. The first floor is the private zone that contains two children's rooms, a master bedroom, a main bathroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The building's foundations are concrete strips, while the main load-bearing structures are masonry walls designed from sand-lime blocks with ETICS insulation and a reinforced concrete floor slab. The building's heating and cooling is powered by an air-water heat pump, which also heats the hot water. Comfortable indoor microclimate provides a heat recovery ventilation unit with supply ducts in ceiling voids and fans in rooms. Rainwater is collected in a stormwater accumulation tank and reused for toilet flushing and watering the garden. The photovoltaic panels on the main green roof generate energy that can be stored in batteries or used for household appliances. The building is connected to the combined sewer, water service pipe, and electricity service. External blinds and a pergola shading system help to reduce overheating during summer.
Residential building Lebeda

The bachelor's thesis titled "Lebeda Apartment Building" develops project documentation at the construction execution level of detail. The building is located in the built-up area of the housing estate in the town of Zubří in the Vsetín district. The building is situated on a gently sloping terrain with a gradient from north to south. The plot is rectangular in shape. It is a three-story building with a basement under part of a floorplan. The building contains 8 residential units, communal facilities, and technical support areas in the basement. The residential units vary in size from 1+kk to 4+1. The vertical load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures are made of aerated concrete and sand-lime bricks. The building is insulated with the ETICS system, and part of the facade is designed as a ventilated facade with wooden cladding and a vertical garden. The building is founded on reinforced concrete strip foundations. The basement part will be gradually connected to the non-basement part of the building. The roofing is implemented as a single-layer flat vegetation roof.

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of a detached house design including project documentation of the construction process. The detached house design consists of two parts - the design of the detached house itself and the design of business premises. The building discussed is situated on flat land, there is no cellar and there are two above-ground floors. Also, the detached house is built on concrete footings. Whereas vertical perimeter structures are designed to be built from the Porotherm system, the horizontal ones, on the other hand, are to be built from reinforced concrete monolithic plate. The roofing of the discussed detached house contains a flat roof with coating waterproofing and with a flat green roof. The drawing parts and designs were created with the Autocad and Archicad programmes.

The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis is to design near-ly zero-energy detached family house for a family of four. The thesis has two parts. The first part presents documentation for building permission. The second part presents the design of selected building services. The house is located on a flat plot in Bučovice. It is a two-storey square shape house with a flat green roof, a wooden terrace and a carport for two cars . On the ground floor, there is a social part, i.e. a living room connected to a kitchen, a study room, a bathroom, a toilet and a utility room. On the second floor, there is a private zone with a master bedroom, two children bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet and a walk-in closet. The house is based on foam glass and a reinforced concrete foundation slab. The vertical structures are masonry made of aerated concrete blocks. The external walls are insulated with the ETICS.The horizontal load-bearing structures are made of cast in place reinforced concrete. The design building services contains the design of vetilation system, solutions for sewage and rainwater, electrical installation and heating. The work deals with the heating system in more detail. The main source of heat is air-water heat pump. The building will be heated by underfloor heating. The air exchange will be provided by the mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. Sewage will be treated in the domestic waste water treatment, clean water will be infiltrated in to the ground on the premises. Rainwater will be collected in storage tank and used for watering the garden. The thesis also includes assessment of fire safety, thermal, daylighting and acoustics. energy performance certificate. Center for seniors in Brno-Medlánky

The task of the diploma thesis is to design a senior living facility in Brno – Medlánky. This task was preceded by a pre-diploma project within the subject NGA056 – Specialized project, developed in the previous semester, which consisted of preparing an urban study with a proposal for urban structure including transportation solutions and the placement of various functions - residential areas, commercial areas, public buildings, civic amenities, a sports hall, a church, and further development of the senior living facility. The architectural study focuses on creating a suitable environment for long-term stay for seniors, meaning comfortable living, outdoor relaxation areas, adequate technical infrastructure, and a variety of services. The design stems from the concept of a compact, clear, and barrier-free base space with social areas and facilities connecting three pavilions of housing units. This ensures privacy in the housing units while providing ample space for social interaction. Access to the terrain linked with a park located on the southern side of the plot is easy from both the base floor and the housing units, providing direct contact with greenery in outdoor spaces. The main entrance leading to the base on the first floor is designed with a representative atrium, reflecting the grandeur of the entire complex. Technical and operational facilities are expanded to cover the capacity of a potential additional fourth pavilion. The entire complex reflects the requirement for peaceful and high-standard living in old age, respecting contemporary architecture and the needs of today's population. As a result, it becomes a place for contented aging.
Detached house with a workshop Frank

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design of a new family house with an attached "massage studio" in the town of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. The house, designed for a family of four, has two aboveground floors and a garage space. The entrance to the house is located on the northeast side, while the massage studio has access from the back. The residential rooms are oriented to the south for optimal sunlight. The building is insulated with the ETICS contact system and constructed from Ytong aerated concrete and Silka sand-lime masonry elements. The roof is pitched with anthracitecolored ceramic roofing tiles and a vegetated flat roof above the garage and studio. The facade will be finished with white silicone plaster
Apartment building

The bachelor thesis deals with the design concept of a new three-storey apartment building situated in Kyjov. The building is located in a relatively quiet area of the city, surrounded by greenery and gardening colonies, on flat to slightly sloping terrain. The building is partially basement with vertical structures of lost formwork. In the cellar area there are cellar cubicles, a bicycle room and a carriage room together with a utility room. The rest of the vertical structures on the site are designed as Porotherm brickwork, the horizontal structures are designed as pre-stressed Spiroll panels. The roofing of the apartment building is made by means of a single-skin flat vegetated roof. In total, there are 9 residential units in the building, of which 2 3-bedroom units are for people with limited mobility and orientation. The apartments on the second floor have conceived balconies oriented towards the east and overlooking the gardening colony, also oriented are the terraces on the third floor for apartments 3kk and 4kk. From the west side there is an entrance to the building connected to the adjacent road, which is also connected to the parking lot for the apartment building with 15 parking spaces, of which 2 spaces are for people with disabilities.
Energy-saving family house in Zborovice

The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is to design a detached energy efficient house for a four member family. The building is located in Zborovice village in a housing area that is yet to be constructed. It is a two-story building with a rectangular shaped floor plan and a flat roof. On the first floor is a living room connected with a kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet and a utility room. There is a balcony door in the living room that leads to a terrace on a garden. On the second floor there is a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, two rooms for children, an office, a bathroom and a toilet. Structural system of the building is masonry system designed from sand-lime blocks. Horizontal load-bearing structures and foundations are designed from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building is supplied with potable water from a water main and with electricity from an electric distribution system. Some electric energy will be produced by photovoltaic panels. Waste water will be discharged into a sanitary sewer. Rainwater will be collected into a harvesting tank and used for irrigation. Ventilation in the building is provided by a MVHR system. Heating system is designed as an underfloor heating powered by an air to water heat pump. On the Energy performance certificate is the building rated as A.
