Jan Kaňák, Ph.D. Bc. Markéta Merklová, DiS. Praha 2022 Abstract In my diploma thesis, I address the question "How do the curators of the criminal activities of children and youth of one selected OSPOD in the Czech Republic construct a response to the dilemma of intervening vs not intervening in their normal practice?". My effort was to describe how curators of criminal activities of children and youth, as specifically targeted social workers of OSPOD, create responses to the dilemma of intervene vs not intervene. The motivation for choosing this topic was that I myself, as a former curator, faced this dilemma and did not know how to respond adequately and in time to such situations. The greatest support for me at that time was sharing the situation with colleagues who did not always have the time and desire to think about the topic. I was interested in whether curators encounter these situations and how they react to them. These findings can subsequently serve as...

Since the subject of research is the active public on the Internet, the work deals also with the basic human right to freedom of expression and related regulatory legislation. In local and especially Anglo-American sources, it searches for a definition of the term ethics of the public, or at least directional ethical theses that would be as suitable as possible for an application to the given subject area. The goal of the work was a comprehensive understanding of the nature of communication between people in public and a...

The theoretical framework deals with concepts related to guilt (morality, good, evil, conscience, sin), then presents the concept of guilt and the possibilities of its processing. Based on the description of the theory, the theoretical part formulates questions, which are used in the practical part. It describes three case studies of persons serving a sentence. The research is devoted to their individual perception of guilt and subsequently to ways of coping with it. Special attention is paid to Christianity and its influence on the perception of guilt, as two persons believe in God. Research shows that guilt is a fundamental issue for people in prison, whether it is in its negative or positive manifestations. The research confirms the fundamental theoretical starting point that there is a line from the negative effect of guilt to its positive contribution. As all three convicts confirm, guilt is the path to awareness, acceptance, and finally to the correction. Although there are many ways how to deal with guilt, the key is willingness to be opened to cope with guilt. Though there are a number of shortcomings in...

Based on the evaluation of all questionnaires, most patients are informed about radiation risks depending on the type of examination. Informed consent and verbal expression are among the most common ways of education about radiation risks. The results also show that a large proportion of respondents has not addressed any ethical issues in this context yet, and most radiology assistants have not even received any training in health ethics. Especially among patients, ignorance of some ethical concepts was an obstacle to completing certain questions in the questionnaire.
