Theatre performance for children of preschool age

Theatre performance for children of preschool age Thesis 2012 The central themes of the thesis are theater performances for children. Specifically focuses on young preschool children. Theoretical part outlines the basic terms of theater. It takes into account the personality of preschool age child, its development and influence of theater on children's psyche. The practical part contains the research, based on the testimony of teachers in kindergartens, compared with the responses of parents of children in this age group. The aim is to explore views on the importance of theater as a part of children's lives. Essential parts of the thesis are videos of performances focusing on the child spectator as performance consumer in the presence of family members, or kindergarten. More specifically the aim is to highlight the use of theatrical performances, attended by children of preschool age, not only as part of educational activities in kindergarten, but also nurture in the family. Drama as a part of television program

The topic of this thesis is theater drama as a part of television program. This diploma thesis tries to define unique and specific relationship between two different media - Theater and Television. The main aim of this thesis is mapping and analyzing of the position which theatrical drama, and the theater in general, had and has within a program of television. The next aim of the thesis is reviewing of role of theatre on the beginning of television broadcasting and mapping changes and evolution of meanings, within which theatre drama was presented in television. Primarily, the thesis focuses on a broadcasting of two televisions - the Czechoslovak Television and subsequently the Czech Television. The television broadcasting is influenced by many factors. And same as the medium of television, the presentation of theatre drama in Tv is influenced by these factors as well. The theoretical background and the research should show the contemporary position of theatre, and theatre drama, as a part of television program.

Juggling as a dramatic language

This thesis deals with juggling and ultimately its scenic potential for dramatic creation and communication. Firstly, I will help define the term “juggling” by delving into its history in the traditional circus, its development in contemporary circus, and its current position in dramatic art. For a more precise and specific exposition of modern juggling and its styles I will analyse and compare the work of three Czech and foreign contemporary juggling groups.

Create the methodic of correct posture and evaluating it during the drama lessons within the school educational plan.

The diploma thesis "Development of the methodology of correct posture and its verification in drama lessons within the school educational program" connects the correct posture with the teaching of dramatic education. In the area of posture, however, it is not as a theoretical discourse of what is known to every teacher, as is proved by this quote dating back over four decades: "The positive influence of proper body posture on healthy growth and development of all organs and the development of their functions is stated by medical literature and confirmed by everyday experience." The aim of the thesis is to examine the problems through practice, in particular by connecting with the already established subject and also the way of teaching in other subjects - dramatic education. The theoretical part is divided into two areas: correct posture and dramatic education. Both of them are first defined and put into context, then I deal with selected aspects that are relevant to this work. In the practical part I define the circumstances and conditions of creation and verification of the methodology of correct posture verified in drama lessons. The ensemble then combines methodological validation and rehearsing the fairytale The Princess and the Pea and the poems A Short Fairytale on Beet and Gingerbread...

The concept and reception of an authorial performance

This thesis focuses on defining the term „group authorial performance“ based on author‘s experiences gained while performing and discussing an authorial play Caza casasueños during the artistic project Authorial Theatre in a community without theatre awareness that took place in Colombia, in July and August 2016. It shows the origins of the idea and emphasizes the continuous process of creating authorial performance achieved through specific relation between authors-actors and spectators.
In the main part author describes the reactions and feedback received from the Guadalupean participants of the project. By adducing experiences with audience from other places in Colombia, the author shows how the performance was changing and underlines the influence of culture on a general human way of perceiving reality.
At the end, the author reflects on the manner of forming a group authorial performance in relation to the works and thoughts of great theatre creators: Augusto Boal, Eugenio Barba and Jerzy Grotowski.
