Mortgage market in the Czech republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the Czech mortgage market. The main aim of the practical part is to introduce the audience to the issue of mortgage loans and their role within the bank products. It analyses all-important attributes and descriptions of mortgages. The paper then occupies with mortgage loans in the Czech Republic, it briefly describes its development and current state, including today's requirements for obtaining mortgage loans and current mortgage providers on the Czech market. In the theoretical part, I use primarily analyzing and descriptive methods, the main source of information was Czech financial literature. In the second, practical part, the paper deals mainly with some selected mortgage loan providers and their offers. Firstly, I mention some general recommendations and secondly, concrete examples, which I use to compare the offers of each bank. The aim of the practical part is particularly comparison and evaluation of each offer, the method I use is mainly comparison. The main sources of information were the official websites of the providers and the calculators placed on these sites. The result of the practical part of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the offers of each bank and to choose the most suitable one for each of the given models. KEYWORDS Mortgage loan, bank, market
Financial Literacy at Kindergarten

This thesis focuses on financial literacy in pre-school education. The aim of this thesis is to create a series of activities, that correspond to the development of pre-school children. The proposed activities relate to financial literacy in a broader sense, than just financial mathematics. The objective is to verify eligibility of proposed activities, both from the author's perspective, as well as from the perspective of the teachers of kindergarten, in which the research was set. The creation of proposed activities is based on the theoretical foundations obtained in the theoretical part of this work. The objective of the proposed activities is to introduce children to the fundamentals of financial literacy, initiate first experience, fortify designed habits and acquaint children with elementary concepts. The verification method is based on qualitative research with elements of action research. Observation of pre-school children during the activities served as main data collection method. The activities were captured on video for later analysis and post-reflection. The obtained data allowed possible modifications of activities and conditions of their implementation, as well as further recommendations for teacher practice.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation in the Firm and Proposals to its Improvement

Her position is evaluated by selected indicators of financial analysis, which are specific in banking branch. Recommendations for improving the current economic situation of the bank are made based on established data.

Diploma thesis deals with the financial analysis of a banking entity operating in Czech Republic and the analysis of time series of selected indicators. The first part gives methodology of the work and theoretical bases for processing financial analysis and time series. The second practical part consists of analysis itself. Based on the results, the state of banking company is evaluated in the final part and the possibilities and proposal are introduced for entity operating in the banking market.
Job Automation and its Impacts

This master's thesis explores how job automation has influenced a selected bank branch workplace and what role gender plays in this process. The thesis is based on a case study focused on a team from one anonymized Czech branch of an international bank where robots are being introduced into the work process. Between November 2018 and February 2019, semi-structured interviews were conducted with six members of this team and obtained data were subjected to an analysis, the results of which are presented in this thesis. Interview questions revolved around changes in the workplace and the evaluation of these changes by the employees. The thesis therefore examines, among other things, whether robots have had any impact on working hours or workplace interpersonal relationships, what control tools narrators have had to monitor the work process, how robots have highlighted existing gender inequalities in the workplace and what issues have arisen after their implementation. The case study has pointed out the importance of further, closer inspection of robot implementation cases, each of which may be affected by a number of specific elements. Loan Agreement, focusing on Position of a Bank as Creditor

This viva focuses on the issue of loan agreements, from the viewpoint of the bank as the loan creditor. The introductory chapters are devoted to specifying the loan concept and its role in economics, and also the legal definition of a loan agreement and its historic development. The following chapters define the terms for valid origin of a loan agreement and define its contracting parties. Emphasis is placed on specification of the position of the bank as the creditor. The next part of this paper acquaints the reader with individual issues of existing loan agreements. This particularly concerns the topic of drawing and repaying the loan, currencies, the value and interest on the loan and the topic of security, general business terms and conditions and finally also the issue of immediate maturity of a loan. This is followed by chapters devoted to execution of rights arising from the loan, with the understanding that emphasis is placed on the methods representing a more effective alternative to the standard finding procedure. Assessment of Air Bank Performance and its Future Development Scenarios

The aim of this Master’s thesis is to analyze the performance of Air Bank a. s. in the period 2012 – 2017 using indicators typical for the banking sector. The results are compared with three selected competing banks. Then from publicly available information assesment is made for the two scenarios of the future development of Air Bank a. s. on the basis of the results of the economic evaluation. In the discussion part the scenarios are evaluated and then deducted the implications of Air Bank a. s. in case of fulfillment of the scenarios. The merger scenario is more advantageous in terms of economic and long-term competitiveness.
Proposal of Communication Mix in the Selected Company

The thesis is focused on the analysis of the current communication mix of selected product of the unnamed bank and suggesting of recommendations for its improvement. The theoretical part contains the explanation of terms and knowledge relating not only to the marketing communication, but to the marketing in general. In the analytical part is evaluated the current situation of the marketing communication of the selected company. In the last part of the thesis, based on the knowledge gained from the analytical part, are created proposals for the completing of the current communication mix of the selected product including their benefits and cost evaluation.
Evaluation of the Performance and Position of the Business Entity on the Banking Market

This thesis focuses on the evaluation of Air Bank a.s. on the market and contains a comparison of the bank with its competitors. Furthermore, the assessment uses selected indicators of financial analysis which take into account the specifics of banking. Based on the data obtained from the evaluation, the paper provides recommendations to improve the current economic situation of the bank.
Financial Analysis of Komerční banka, a. s.
The main aim of the diploma thesis is to perform a financial analysis of Komerční banka, a. s. in sufficient time, to find out its capital adequacy and, in case of deficiencies, to propose measures that would lead to improvement of the situation. To meet this objective, horizontal and vertical balance sheet items, profit and loss account were prepared. In conclusion, the financial situation of the bank was assessed on the basis of selected ratio indicators. The results of all partial analyzes were correlated with the results of three competing banks and the entire banking sector for higher relevance.
