The Call of the Wild
Šmihuľa, Bernard ; Ježková, Tereza (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
Architecture is a fundamental element of cultural heritage, and the restoration of historic buildings can be key to preserving the heritage of past generations. By studying the historical context, we can better understand the meaning of the building and the role it played in its time. This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the recreation of the Spa Sivá Brada, which was once an important social center in the local region. Unfortunately, due to the controversial events that took place during the period of communism and the beginnings of the independent Slovak Republic, the spa is no longer standing today. The work deals with the historical significance of the spa and its impact on the local community. The study also analyzes the potential benefits of the recreation of the spas, such as the use of the potential of the healing waters in the area or the tourism increase. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to point out the importance of the Spa Sivá brada restoration and to stimulate a public debate through a comprehensive analysis of the history, current state and potential design of the Spa Sivá Brada.

Horticultural therapy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder
Lovecký, Adam ; Vařeková, Jitka (advisor) ; Pavlová, Ilona (referee)
Title: Horticultural therapy in individuals with autism spectrum disorder Objectives: The objective of this work was to map the use of education in the natural environment in children with autism spectrum disorder in schools and leisure organizations in the Czech Republic, with special focus on therapeutic- pedagogical use of gardens, called horticultural therapy. As a part of investigation, it was examined whether this form of therapy was part of the teaching process and how it might influence the behaviour of the individuals concerned. Methods: Empirical research was conducted by collecting data using a questionnaire of its own design. It has been sent to school educators who include the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorder and to special organizations caring for individuals with autism spectrum disorder throughout Czech Republic. Results: The results of the questionnaire survey, which evaluated 40 responses, show that of the respondents interviewed, 41 % encountered the concept of ecotherapy and perceived it as an appropriate supplement. However, the same percentage said they were hearing about ecotherapy for the first time. 38,7 % of respondents incorporate horticultural therapy into an individual education plan and educational support or development plans for pupils/clients when...

Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Páralová, Veronika ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to create an architectural and urban study of a multifunctional sports complex in Vsetín. The current sports complex, which is located in Vsetín - Ohrada, is in poor technical condition and partly unused. My intention is to create a complex that will serve not only athletes but the general public. In the area, sports facilities are accompanied by recreational ones. The area offers a wide range of activities for different target groups. The main building of the entire complex is a multifunctional sports hall. There is also a gym, exercise rooms and a tennis club. All these buildings and other outdoor sports fields are concentrated around the perimeter of the complex. In order to create an undisturbed recreational area in the middle of the area. Thanks to the partial burying of some buildings underground, a large park sloping down to the river with beautiful views of the opposite wooded hill is created. The possibilities of recreation in the area include the already mentioned park area, which encourages play and relaxation. In the complex, there is a cafe, barbecue area, playground, bike path along the river and skate park.

Sports and Relaxation Centre Za Lužánkami, Brno
Nováková, Pavla ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The diploma thesis is based on a design of a sports recreational centre in Brno za Lužánkami. The area has a very rich sports history (former football stadium, ice arena, swimming pool,…), with great importance for the city of Brno and its residents. Due to the decay and bad technical condition of the structures, sports activity Za Lužánkami was suppressed at the end of the last century, and its return to the location is very current. The goal of the thesis was a design for the utilization of the area for various uses with a preference for leisure sports activities and offering options for all age groups during the entire year. In the first stage, an urban-architectural study was compiled, including a new functional use of the area for recreational sporting and relaxation, while being better connected with the surrounding localities. Following that, a complex architectural study of a multipurpose hall was designed in place of the former football stadium. The hall offers various possibilities for recreational sports, children‘s club training, talks and exhibitions hosting. Included are corresponding sanitary facilities, technical facilities, underground parking, commercial areas and a cafe. The structure is set in the ground and thanks to the variable roof inclination the rooftop park is directly accessible from the ground. The roof access is proposed from four places and offers further relaxation spots around the entire roof area.

Compensatory exercises for cyclists of older school age
Bartizalová, Denisa ; Jandová, Soňa (advisor) ; Panská, Šárka (referee)
This work deals with compensatory exercises for cyclists of older school age, which were compiled into methodological material. To verify the functionality of this methodological material in practice, 12 cyclists of older school age were selected, for whom it was necessary to determine the condition of the movement system in advance using diagnostic tests according to Janda. The cyclists were divided into 2 groups of 6 - experimental group and control group, where the experimental group had the task of training according to the methodological material. The subsequent second testing served as an indicator of the difference in the movement system of cyclists after the use of methodological material of compensatory exercises. The theoretical part of the work is therefore focused mainly on the description of muscle groups involved in cycling and in connection with that description of the stereotypes of the movemnt system that affect cyclists and its diagnosis. The results of diagnostic tests of the experimental and control groups have shown that movement stereotypes are already evident in older school age cyclists. This was subsequently confirmed by a statistical analysis of effect size for both groups. The analysis after the second testing showed a very large effect size in the experimental group,...

Dynamical Behaviour of Matrix Proteins from Mason-Pfizer Monkey Virus
Srb, Pavel ; Lang, Jan (advisor) ; Žídek, Lukáš (referee) ; Brus, Jiří (referee)
Title: Dynamical behaviour of matrix proteins from Mason-Pfizer Monkey Virus Author: Pavel Srb Department: Department of Low temperature physics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Lang, PhD. Abstract: We studied the oligomeric properties of betaretroviral nonmyristoylated ma- trix protein (MA) and its R55F mutant from the Mason-Pfizer monkey virus in solution by means of NMR spectroscopy. We have proven that the wild- type (WT) MA forms oligomers in solution. The final model of oligomeriza- tion of the WT MA was derived by concerted use of chemical shift mapping and diffusion-ordered spectroscopy measured on a set of protein samples with varying concentrations. We found that the Mason-Pfizer monkey virus WT MA exists in a monomer-dimer-trimer equilibrium in solution. Further a combination of NMR relaxation measurements and advanced analysis of molecular dynamics simulation trajectory provided an unprecedentedly de- tailed insight into internal mobility of matrix proteins of the Mason-Pfizer monkey virus. Strong evidence have been obtained that the oligomerization capacity of the wild-type matrix protein is closely related to the enhanced dynamics of several parts of its backbone on a nanosecond time scale. In- creased flexibility has been observed for two regions: the loop between he- lices α2 and α3 and the C-terminal...
