Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluating Investments in Stock Markets
Šmerda, Patrik ; Janková, Zuzana (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the application of fuzzy logic in constructing a decisionmaking model for evaluating investment opportunities in stock markets, with a specific emphasis on the selection of exchange-traded funds. The model is based on essential criteria that play a crucial role in the efficient selection of funds. These criteria are implemented in two decision-making models that have been developed using Microsoft Excel and MATLAB tools. The results obtained from these models provide a solid foundation for further steps in the investment decision-making process.

Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluating Investments in Stock Markets
Jovič, Marko ; Janková, Zuzana (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the application of fuzzy logic in supplementary models that serve as a support tool for solving decision-making questions in the field of stock market investments. The models encompass evaluative criteria and their attributes, which are used to evaluate various types of investment assets. The models are implemented in MS Excel using the VBA programming language and MATLAB from MathWorks.

Use of fuzzy logic for banking risk assessment
Maňková, Veronika ; Bobalová, Martina (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the use of fuzzy logic in the banking sector for credit risk assessment. Artificial intelligence, especially the fuzzy logic method, is used to construct a model for evaluating whether a client poses a threat to the bank or not based on their creditworthiness. The determination of a client's creditworthiness involves the evaluation of both financial and non-financial indicators. The paper further describes the use of the MATLAB tool for the development and implementation of this model. The resulting model allows banks to better understand credit risk and enables them to make more informed lending decisions.

Supplier evaluation in terms of risk using fuzzy logic
Marcinov, David ; Lána,, Radim (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the evaluation of supplier risk of an unnamed company XYZ. The evaluation is done using fuzzy logic theory, which is applied in the decision model designed in MS Excel and MATLAB. Suppliers are divided into four groups with different degrees of significance based on point and percentage results. Groups get recommendations for future cooperation, eventual suggestions for procurations, which can lead to minimization of risks and more accurate fulfillment of requirements. The company XYZ need these requirements from its suppliers. Comparison of results from two different software is part of this thesis too.

Diagnostics of the state of the machine/machine components with the help of fuzzy sets
Horák, Roman ; Zuth, Daniel (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the use of fuzzy logic in the field of technical diagnostics. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes technical diagnostics, fuzzy logic and genetic algorithm. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part in which fuzzy logic is tested on the Iris dataset and then the acquired knowledge is applied to a technical dataset evaluating machine fault conditions. At the end of the chapters of both datasets, the results are summarized and evaluated. The last chapter of the practical part is devoted to the description of the developed scripts in software Matlab 2022b. Part of the work are attachments in which the created FIS models and written scripts are stored.

Application of fuzzy logic as a support for decision-making in financial market
Mrňka, Richard ; Šuňavcová, Nikola (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the application of fuzzy logic for investment evaluation in the American stock market through ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) investments. The thesis proposes two decision-making models, one in Microsoft Excel and the other in MathWorks MATLAB. These models incorporate essential criteria for investing in ETFs. The outputs of fuzzy models aid in facilitating investment decisions for small investors and creating a diversified passive portfolio.

Fuzzy logic as a decision support in management practice
Svoboda, Jan ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The thesis describes the process of evaluating internet domains for the purpose of automating the registration process. The set of measured results is used to support the managerial decision-making of XYZ company, utilizing advanced decision-making methods in the creation of the model. The model is developed using two programming environments, namely MS Excel and MATLAB. The decision-making tool fully corresponds to the current needs of the automation team, and the output is a final recommendation for the selection of suitable internet domains.
