Design of a method for measuring the leanness level of production processes
Medonos, Michal ; Blecha, Petr (referee) ; Čambál, Miloš (referee) ; Lenort, Radim (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
Focus of this dissertation thesis is to find suitable methodology for measuring the leanness of the production process. The history of approaches to the optimization of production systems is outlined in the literature search. Furthermore, the methodology of lean production is described, the concept of leanness of the production process is defined and also the current approaches and methods of measuring the leanness of the production process are summarized. The next section presents developed Lead Time Leanness Indicator as a proposal for a suitable way to measure the leanness of the production process. Within the primary research, the necessary data are obtained from production companies using a questionnaire survey to test the usability of this indicator in practice. Based on the evaluation of the results of this survey, all established hypotheses are confirmed, and it can be stated that the defined indicator and its methodology is a suitable tool for measuring the leanness of the production process. It is further confirmed that this indicator can be used to set goals for the implementation of the lean production methodology also for a mutual evaluation and comparison of the efficiency of production processes of different companies. Another benefit obtained from the questionnaire survey is the mapping of the current state of the level of leanness of production processes and the intensity of the use of lean production tools in production companies not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. At the end of the work, a case study is presented, which demonstrates the use of the indicator to determine the current state of leanness of the production process and to define any potential for improvement in a particular manufacturing company.

Lean Management of Production System
Medek, David ; Romanová, Eliška (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with lean management of production system in Inventec (Czech), s.r.o company, Brno branch of which produces desktop PCs and servers of Fujitsu brand. Management of production system is analyzed via tools and methods of lean philosophy and based on the information gained. Proposition (improvement) for a selected part of production system will be made, which will lead to elimination of wasting of resources and time.

Layout design of a new production hall with the implementation of lean production of a business entity
Kramář, Marek ; Juřica, Pavel (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on solving the design of the layout of a new production hall with the implementation of lean manufacturing at Teknia Uhersky Brod, a.s., a company engaged in plastic injection molding. The first part of the thesis describes information about the company, followed by theoretical foundations for the given issue. The practical part consists of several analyses that have revealed several shortcomings in the current layout. The final part of the thesis is the design section, where several layout designs for the new production hall have been created. The conclusion of the thesis describes the implementation conditions and the benefits of the proposed solutions.

Production Process Improvement
Majzlík, Tomáš ; Veselý, Josef (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the production process at HydrauliCS s.r.o., with the aim of streamlining the hydraulic cylinder production process using selected lean methods. The first part describes the theoretical background to introduce the reader to the issues of this thesis. In the second part, the product representative, the current state of its manufacturing process, and a detailed analysis of the assembly process is presented. For the analysis, the work analysis and measurement method, and spaghetti diagram are used. In the last part, suggestions for eliminating the deficiencies in the specific process and their economic evaluation are presented.

Assembly Line Improvement Proposal
Zedníček, Antonín ; Kollár, Filip (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on improving the process of a manufacturing company following customer orders. First, the theoretical starting points of improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma are defined. Subsequently, the processed product and the company covering the production are introduced. Then, improvement tools are used to analyse the current state of the investigated process. The result is a proposal for a new solution, which is then evaluated, and the economic benefit is calculated.

Optimization of a machine assembly process
Obořil, Filip ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the assembly of a machine designed for printing paper material. In the introduction, the company Windmöller & Hölscher, with which the work was collaborated, is introduced. The theoretical part is focused on lean production methods and types of industrial printing. In the practical part, the design is optimized with the use of lean production, adjustment of the assembly procedure, creation of instructions and adjustment of the layout of the assembly box. The proposed optimizations are subsequently evaluated from a financial point of view and, if possible, the return on investment is calculated.

Waste Elimination on Press Brakes
Kubový, Tadeáš ; Pavlíková, Eva (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a proposal for the elimination of losses on press brakes and the overall improvement and optimization of the press brake process. The design part of the work contains two proposals, both with the aim of eliminating losses and increasing the performance of the press break workshop. The work is divided into six main parts from the theoretical starting points, through the analysis of the entire production process, detailed analysis of the bending process, to the design of the solution and its evaluation.

Optimizing the Workplace for the Repair of Glass Molds
Vaculovičová, Aneta ; Juřica, Pavel (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is engaged in an analysis of the current form of the workplace destined to repair glass forms and a proposal to improve it. The theoretical part includes a description of the glass making process according to individual steps, further focusing on the moulding process using glass moulds. It also includes a description of methods used for creating an optimal workplace. In the practical part, processes are analysed from a global and detailed point of view. By finding the flaws, the present part of the work subsequently deals with the design of the optimal workplace. Finally, the benefits are assessed.
