Sinumerik tools for programming of rotational machine part
Slavík, Daniel ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a manufacture of rotating mechanical component on CNC lathe machine with Sinumerik control system. At first the chosen component is briefly described and then NC program is created in Sinutrain Operate 4.5 system. Afterwards the program is verified by simulation. Within the diploma thesis a technological documentation is elaborated that contains a new technological course of manufacture and a manufacture drawing of the component. The final part of this thesis is focused on technical-economic evaluation of newly designed manufacture with verification of cutting conditions and required output of the CNC machine. The outcome of the thesis defines an hour rate of CNC lathe and price of component that regards to newly presented manufacture.
Testing of cutting parameters for UMCo50 machining
Jakubec, Thomas ; Kolomý, Štěpán (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the machinability of materials, the theoretical part describes the factors that have a dominant influence on machinability. The basic aspects according to which the machinability of the material and the wear of the tool are determined are also given here. The distribution of cobalt alloys is given here, including the UMCo-50 alloy, which is the subject of experimental research. It is an alloy for high-temperature use with good abrasion resistance and is used especially where other materials lose their mechanical properties due to the high temperature. The practical part followed the thesis of my colleague Ing. Peter Prno [1], which due to lack of time could not measure all the necessary quantities, resp. course of back wear for the remaining two cutting speeds. During the experiment, the wear of the tool back was monitored as a function of time at different cutting speeds in turning technology. The main goal was to determine the resulting tool life at the remaining cutting speeds and thus obtain a more accurate Taylor dependence. The turning forces, the quality of the machined surface and the formation of chips were also monitored during turning.
Cutting tool preparation before coating
Musil, Michal ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarizes importance and advantages of surface preparation before coating process. Next part of this work analyzes an influ-ence of surface preparation before coating process on tool geometry, tool life and cutting performance. Experimental part brings a comparison between mi-cro-finishing by mix of SiC particles and walnut shells and ion cleaning tech-nology that by the help of Ti or Ar ionts. The 6 mm twist drill made from high speed steel has been chosen as the sample for experimental works. There are describe the advantages of preparation of tool cutting edges before coating, especially the micro-finishing and ion cleaning, and their positive effects on geometry and performance of tool at the end of the work.
On The Influence of Cutting Edge Length on Tool Life of Indexable Inserts
Tomis, Jan ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Binder, Martin (advisor)
Analysis of tool life tests of indexable insert APKX1505PDER-M by company Pramet Tools Ltd., focused to examination of the influence of Cutting Edge Radius on Tool life. Determination the best size of Honing Cutting Edge for maximum Tool life.
Machining processes in furniture industry
Černý, Marek ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
This master thesis deals with machining processes in the furniture industry. Various group of materials, which are used in furniture industry are described there. Then there are described assembly and machining processes, such as manual and machine. In practical part, the production process for the selected sample product was proposed. The production was performed in a specific company, which has suitable machinery and tools. Sample product was made from double-sided laminated medium density fibreboard, which belongs to the group of wood-based materials. As a part of the debugging produciton process, the dependence tool life at cutting speed was experimentaly found. The experiment was performed on CNC milling machine with cutting speeds in the range 453 to 905 m.min-1, width draft of cutting edge 9,5 mm and feed per tooth 0,05 mm. Analog passametr Somet with an accuracy 0,001 mm was used to measure tool wear. The measured data were recorded and evaluated in program Excel. The resulting dependency tool life at cutting speed can be used in other machining operations. After performing the experiment, each parts of the product were produced and mountig was performed. The conclusion of the thesis contains an evaluation of the proposed production process.
