An analysis of pond management in the Brno reservoir drainage area with respect to nutrient loading: a report on the project results
Adámek, Zdeněk ; Všetičková, Lucie
The impact of pond management upon the loading of Brno reservoir from its catchment area with 142 ponds and reservoirs > 1 ha (990 ha in total) was evaluated utilising the data from managing companies. The total annual phosphorus loading from pond management consists of 267,44 kg P from semi-intensive carp ponds, 10,22 kg from other ponds, 50,00 P from trout farms a 50,40 kg from storage pond faciltites.
An analysis of pond management in the Hracholusky reservoir drainage area with respect to nutrient loading
Adámek, Zdeněk ; Všetičková, Lucie
The impact of pond management upon the loading of Hracholusky reservoir from its catchment area with 193 ponds and reservoirs > 1 ha (1104 ha in total) was evaluated utilising the data from managing companies. The total annual phosphorus output from pond management was negative (-1396,88 kg) which means that phosphorus has been ponds retained in ponds.
Růstové schopnosti kapra obecného (\kur{Cyprinus carpio}, L.) přikrmovaného obilnými krmivy
ŠKRLETA, Jan
This Bachelor's thesis evaluates effect of feeding carp's stock (Cyprinus carpio, L.) to growth and condition indicators and simultaneously evaluates planned and actual weight of the stock. Experiment ran for 160 days, in two ponds of Pístniská fish pond system, owned by Chov ryb - Josef Vaněk company. Experimet was performed by feeding test. Ponds are located in Jindřichův Hradec district and their total area is 67 ha. Stock of fish were fed wheat with no modificatin. Determined values of fish measurement are compared to normative indicators in planning stocking and fishing ponds.
The phosphorus balance in semi-intensive rearing of carp
ŠIMÁNEK, Josef
The aims of this bachelor thesis are (i) to verify the generally recognized fact that supplementary feeding has an effect on the increase in phosphorus concentration in the surface water; and (ii) to explore a potential reduction of wastes by supplementary feeding with thermally treated cereals. The experiment was run in two consecutive growing seasons in the years 2012 and 2013. Four ponds were selected for this study. Cereals were applied as supplementary feed in three ponds: In two of them, thermally treated cereals were applied and in the other one, untreated cereal grains were applied. The efficiency of these feeds was compared with the results from the control pond, where fish stock was not supplementary fed. The results showed that bioturbation had a bigger effect on water quality than the input of nutrients from feeds, since water transparency parameters were statistically different (P < 0.05; in the control treatment compared to the ponds that were supplementary fed (higher value of turbidity and suspended solids, lower water transparency). No significant differences were observed in zoobenthos abundance, although the lowest density was in the control pond. However, no differences in zooplankton density between the control ponds and the supplementary fed ponds were found. On the other hand, differences in productive efficiency (SGR) of both types of feeds were found, which was highest in thermally treated ponds. The fact that the amount of phosphorus depends on the age of fish and bioavailability of phosphorus in feed was confirmed. Thermally treated cereals are economically inexpensive and the use of thermally treated cereals may provide a framework for the sustainable management of carp ponds, resulting in improved phosphorus budget over the entire pond system.
Conditional indicator in breeding market carp in semi-operation experiments in fish-ponds in Třeboň
FLOKOVIČ, Ondřej
In my bachelor thesis, I dealt with supplementary feeding of common carp (Cyprinus carpio, L.) in semi-operation experiments in fish-ponds in Třeboň. For the experiment, three-year carp of the operation line scaly Třeboň carp was used. The main objective of the experiment realized by me was to compare the feed triticale in various modified forms. For extra feeding, the feed triticale was used in three modified forms (whole triticale, pressed triticale, whole triticale thermally processed at 100°C). The feeding study was realized for the assessment of conditional indicators of market carp. For the experiment, which lasted 83 days, four fish-ponds were used. 363 pieces were set per hectare of fish-pond. In the fish-pond No. 1, whole triticale was used for supplementary feeding. In the fish-pond No. 2 pressed triticale was used for supplementary feeding. In the fish-pond No. 3, whole triticale thermally processed at 100°C was used for supplementary feeding. The fish-pond No. 4 was used for control without supplementary feeding. During the experiment, control fishing was performed to measure body length, body circumference, body weight and measure fat in the fish muscle. There was a considerable difference in the final weight between the feed whole triticale thermally processed at 100°C in comparison with the control group without supplementary feeding. It was the biggest gain from all tested feed types and reached 12.061 kg. The results of all tested feed types were best for the feed whole triticale thermally processed at 100°C, which proved to be the most suitable.
Possibilities of use new technologies in the breeding of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella).
ZROSTLÍK, Jakub
This thesis was aimed to breeding and nutrition of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). The work should assess breeding possibilities in monoculture stock using specialized feeds adjusted for grass carp. Beside special feed, cereals and feeding mixture for young stages of carp (Cyprinus carpio) were used. Testing of feeds should suggest suitable technological parameters for breeding of fingerlings and young stages of grass carp.
