Důležitost systemické inzulínové rezistence pro imunitní odpověď
STRYCH, Lukáš
The aim of this thesis was to study insulin resistance in larval peripheral tissues of Drosophila melanogaster upon the infection by parasitoid wasp Leptopilina boulardi. Firstly, the state of the insulin signalling during the immune response was analysed by measuring gene expression and phosphorylation of Akt. Subsequently, the importance of insulin resistance in peripheral tissues for the effectivity of the immune response was tested. The effect of Jak-Stat signalling on inducing insulin resistance in larval muscle was evaluated as well.
Tkáňově specifická role adenosinového receptoru při imunitní reakci
STRYCH, Lukáš
The aim of this thesis was to investigate the tissue specific role of adenosine receptor in larvae of Drosophila melanogaster upon infection by parasitoid wasp Leptopilina boulardi. The role of adenosine receptor in differentiation of hemocytes and its role in glucose transport into developing tissue during immune challenge was analysed by mitotic recombination with mutated adenosine receptor. The interconnection between adenosine and Jak-Stat signalling was tested as well.
Role genu \kur{Impl2} v regulaci imunitní odpovědi na bakteriální infekci u \kur{Drosophila melanogaster}
ŠOKČEVIČOVÁ, Helena
The main aim of this thesis is to investigate the role of Impl2 gene in the regulation of immune response to bacterial infection in Drosophila melanogaster. The theoretical part provides a conceptual background concerning immunity in drosophila and also it summarizes what is known about the Impl2 gene. In the practical part, the function of Impl2 gene during infection is examined, starting with the location of its production during immune response, the changes of Impl2 gene amount during infection and its essentiality for a proper immune response. Furthermore, it examines the metabolic changes underlying an immune activation in connection to Impl2 gene. Last but not least, it tests how Impl2 gene is connected with the mobilization of energy during Chill Coma Recovery assay.
