Rotary Encoder Calibration
Šindelář, Michal
Manufacturer of an encoder gives an information about maximum error level of the measured position and the magnitude of the angle deviation for each single position is unknown. The calibration provides an error map which can be used for correction of actual measured angle value. Hence, the measurement accuracy for each position is significantly increased. Presented method provides on-axis self-calibration and does not require any external angle standard. It is based on the interpolation of correct angle position for each count of the encoder.

Analysis of Accuracy of Streams and Watershed Divides Contained in the Geographic Databases of the Czech Republic Abstract The aim of this work is to evaluate positional accuracy of stream lines and watersheds in geographical databases of the Czech Republic. Data are compared in several geomorphologically different areas and the influence of terrain topography on positional accuracy of lines is also studied. The teoretical part of this work describes methods of stream lines and watesheds delimitation and methods designed for comparision of positional accuracy of lines. Furthermore, methodology of work involving stream lines and watershed delimitation in DTM (digital terrain model) by ArcHydro Tools and comparision of these lines with the lines in available databases is described. The data used for construction of DTM were obtained by Airborne Laser Scanning. Key words: watershed, stream, position accuracy, DTM
Using geodetic and GPS methods for land admeasurement layout
PODROUŽEK, Jaroslav
Bachelor thesis ?Vytyčování pozemkových úprav geodeticky a metodou GPS? deals with the topic of land layout using both geodetic and GPS methods. The aim of the thesis is to compare geodetic and GPS methods used for layout of particular spots. The comparison focuses mainly on accuracy and efficiency of the used methods. The particular spots were used for realization of land admeasurement. The reconnaissance of the location according to geodetic data was used to evaluate the spot panel for the actual layout. Four spots for the layout were chosen in cadastral area Kamenný Újezd. For the geodetic method, I used total station LEICA TCR 407 POWER and for the GPS method, I used a Leica GPS system 1200 apparatus and a portable antenna ATX 1230 GG.
