This thesis engages in subject matter of the aplication of statistical and economic methods to performance rating of company. This thesis analyses and evaluatesperformance of small farmer‘s cooperation as a whole and analyses and evaluates performance of individual centres for last 10 years. This thesis can help top management that adapts next activity to results of analysis and accepts pracautions and remedies serious shortcomings or improves current activity of company.

The position of the primary sector in the economy of the Czech Republic

The study deals with the analysis of the primary sector in the Czech Republic (agriculture, forestry and fishing, mining and quarrying), in terms of the performance of selected aspects of competitiveness on the labor market, a significant part of the study is devoted to the analysis of volume indicators . The results are placed within the context of other sectors of the Czech economy . The study is based on available time series, the main data sources are national accounts and agriculture statistics.

Cultivation of fodder sorrel for biogas production

The aim of the methodology is to provide farmers, agricultural consultants, operators of biogas plants and all other interested persons basic information about growing and processing for biogas of a promising non-traditional energy crop - fodder sorrel (Rumex patientia L. x Rumex tianschanicus A.Los.). Until now a comprehensive methodology for cultivation of this crop for biogas production hasn’t been processed. The methodology provides basic botanical characteristics of the crop, specifies soil and ecological requirements in habitat, describes the agricultural technologies of seeding, cultivation, fertilization, plant protection, harvesting and ensiling this crop for biogas production and provides their economic evaluation.

Possibilites of Plant Production for Ensuring of Feed Materials for Poultry in Ecological Agriculture

Diploma thesis ?Possibilities of plant production for ensuring of feed materials for poultry in Ecological Agriculture? deals with the availability of ecological feed materials in the Czech Republic, further it ascertains how much of new agricultural area is needed for ensuring the independence during the production of these feed materials and last but not least suggests the measures leading to ensuring of sufficiency feed materials in organic food quality for poultry. The aim of the diploma thesis is firstly to inform about availability of ecological feed materials for poultry bred in ecological agriculture, also to suggest measures which would lead for ensuring of organic food sufficiency. To accomplish the given aim, the diploma thesis is divided into two main sections. The first section is a literary overview and the second one is a practical section. The literary overview introduces the ecological agriculture in the Czech Republic discussing plant and animal production. In the section concerning plant production is dealt with basic conditions which must be observed to lead to good yield. Animal production focuses on breeding of poultry in ecological agriculture and analyses main specifics of their breeding. The practical part of the diploma thesis was created on the basis of ascertained information from poultry breeders and specialized literature materials. Gained information were evaluated. The result of the practical should be: 1. availability of ecological feed materials for poultry bred in ecological agriculture in the Czech Republic 2. suggestion of possible measures leading for ensuring of organic food sufficiency for poultry 3. suggestion of alternatives for shortage feed materials in organic food Contribution of the diploma thesis is in findings of necessity of new agricultural areas for ensuring of feed material base for poultry as dynamically developing sector of ecological agriculture.

Conversion of farm from conventional to organic farming in submountain areas

The aim of the Dissertation was to assess conditions and suitability of the specific agricultural farm for conversion. The farm analysed is situated in the highest parts of the Novohradské Hory mountain region, District of Český Krumlov. The altitude of anthropogenic non-stocked forest land oscillates about 850 m above sea level, and covers an area which was included in the border zone of the state border with Austria until recently. The main production programme of the farm is animal production, namely cattle breeding without a market milk production. The SWOT analysis method was used to analyse subjective as well as objective presumptions of suitability of the farm for conversion purposes. It was used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The results achieved were used for assessment and comparison with information processed in bibliography. The facts revealed indicated that the current state of conventional farming already fully corresponds to the principles and requirements applied in the organic farming systems.At the end it was stated that the farm has the best presumptions for a successful conversion.
