Analysis of the Czech and Spanish "Education" Terminology

The main goal of our work is to present educational system in the Czech Republic and Spain, and analyze lexical units in the field of education occurring in the theoretical part. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains the comparison of Czech and Spanish educational system and the practical part contains the analysis of lexical units from educational field. After analyzing all the lexical units in the practical part there is a bilingual glossary and a summary in Spanish.

The paper aims to analyse four phonetic phenomena in a baroque handbook for surveyors called Gruntovní počátek mathematického umění (1734). The findings indicate that diphthong ou- (< ú) prevails, diphtong ej (< ý) and vowel í (< é) are frequent, but prothetic v- is unique.
