Valentová, Soňa
The bachelor work on Breeding technique of dwarf rabbit describes the breeding of the rabbit in all its contexts. The first part is devoted to domestication, history and significance of dwarf rabbit breeding. Furthermore, breeds of dwarf rabbits kept in the Czech Republic are listed and described. In the second part, the thesis deals with breeding, genetics of breeding and selection in breeding, housing, feeding, and requirements for microclimate, nutrition, reproduction, care and nursing, and rabbit ration health issues with a focus on disease prevention. The last part of the bachelor's thesis is devoted to the evaluation of own breeding of dwarf lops. Attention is focused primarily on reproductive indicators and properties, to the differences between dwarf lops with classic hair, dwarf satin, rex, and satin rex lops. The selected existing breeding was described and evaluated was the average and total number of born and reared cubs of dwarf lops from females with different coat structure, the losses of born cubs, the ratio of the sex of offspring pups, the influence of various factors on the number of litters, and length of pregnancy.
Etologické pozorování skupiny zvířat vybraného plemene králíků
Doleželová, Martina
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to define the concept of ethology, to describe the methods of ethological observation and the subsequent focus on issues related to the problems of the domestic rabbit. The subject of the practical part was the observation of life manifestations in a selected group of a certain domestic rabbit breed and subsequent evaluation of life manifestations. The first, theoretical part of the thesis is focused on a brief summary of information on the field of ethology, including a chapter devoted to animal welfare. The second, practical part of the bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of life manifestations in a selected group of domestic rabbit. The subject of ethological research was the comparison of daily activities (feeding; watering; rest; standing; dolling; pawing; comfortable behavior and emptying) in free and pen housing; the California Rabbit breed was chosen for this research. In case of comparing the activities that the rabbits preferred, there are slight differences between the chosen type of housing. However, in both cases the most frequent observed activity was rest (pen – 37,80 %, run-out – 39,63 %), feeding (pen – 21,95 %, run-out – 23,78 %) and standing (pen – 12,20 %, run-out – 9,76 %). Other activities were observed at a lower frequency.
Zhodnocení životních projevů králíka domácího
Střeštíková, Yvona
The goal of bachelor thesis was to assess the lives of domestic rabbits in small breeding conditions. The first part of my thesis focuses on the scientific field of ethology while the second part observes the rabbits themselves. It characterizes the breeds that created the studied crossbreeds. Furthermore, it describes the housing technology and the main rabbit diseases. Thesis included an experiment which examined the lives of rabbits using the imaging method. It was created an ethogram, tables, and graphs that showed the discovered values. Conclusion was that the individual rabbits were more active in the pen and performed many more activities they were not really able to do in the hutch.
Vliv ročního období na behaviorální projevy králíka domácího ve vybraném chovu
Matějková, Jana
The aim of bachelor thesis was to evaluate behavioral manifestations of domestic rabbit in selected breeding depending on season. The subject of ethological research was to compare behavioral manifestations (feeding; defecation and urination; walking; relaxation; sitting on its hind legs; comfort behaviour) of chosen breeds of rabbits (alaska, pearl) in particular seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter). The beginning of observation was always at 10 a.m. and in 15 minutes intervals continued until 1 p.m. (total 13 records per day). Simultaneously was measured outdoor temperature (°C) and temperature inside of open outhouse (°C). There were found out by observation differences between behavioral manifestations of rabbits in different seasons. In summer, rabbits strongly preferred relaxation (91,9 %), whereas the other behavioral manifestations were in inhibition. Compare to that, relaxing consisted 52,8 % and other behavioral manifestations were more pronounced. The influence of breed of rabbit had not perceptible effect on behavioral manifestations. The frequency of behavioral manifestations of both breeds during the year was almost identical.
Zhodnocení úrovně reprodukce králíků v podmínkách středně velkého chovu
Tesařová, Zuzana
Thesis is focused on assessing the reproduction levels of rabbits in middle-sized extensive holdings. For statistical analysis were used breeds Dwarf Teddy (unrecognized breed), Hermelin, Netherland Dwarf and Dwarf Lop. Factors influencing the litter count, fertilization, gestation length, count of rabbits born and reared and male-to-female ratio of young rabbits. Highly significant values were reported for variance in born and reared counts for Hermelin and Netherland Dwarf breeds, while after categorizing into quality groups was concluded that higher-weight and lower-exterior-quality doe reach statistically highly-significant differences in born-and-reared youngling count. Furthermore, the used breeding technology and litter order influence on reproductive indexes was evaluated.
