The topic of the thesis is the water regime in the forest environment at a specific location (Buková district) in connection with the ongoing bark beetle calamity and the associated extensive deforestation of the landscape. After a general introduction to the issue of water in the landscape, the thesis smoothly transitions into a detailed description of the area of interest, i.e. the Buková district, and a more detailed description of the associated forest groups. It captures the period before the bark beetle calamity and compares it with the current period. In addition to the water regime, it also compares the economic situation - the lost profits due to the bark beetle calamity. The paper also evaluates the current land reclamation measures and forest restoration methods using simple methods.

Povědomí studentů o významu ekosystémových služeb a funkcí lesů

The thesis is focused on the issues of ecosystem services and functions of forests. The aim is to evaluate the students' awareness of the importance of ecosystem services and functions of forests and the subsequent comparison with the results of foreign studies. Literature research is devoted to the concept of ecosystem services and functions of forests, their description and classification. It also characterizes the concepts of forest, nature and landscape protection, the species composition and forest health. Own work involves methodological basis and characteristics of survey respondents. Subsequently evaluated questionnaire aimed at the students' awareness of the importance of ecosystem services and functions of forests. The results are divided into two parts corresponding to the partial aims of the thesis. Following the evaluation of the questionnaire is in the discussion an international comparison of the results with foreign studies. The conclusion summarizes the obtained knowledge and evaluates the fulfilment of objectives.

Hodnocení vybraných funkcí lesů na vybrané části školního polesí Valšovice

This diploma thesis evaluates predominantly the social‒recreational and hygienic functions of the forest within the school field Valšovice at the Secondary Forestry School in Hranice. By field explorationn were selected for assessment of the functions of the forest, especially for the forest groups, which immediately lined the most visited forest paths, namely 1L "Helfštýnská", 2L "Nedokončená" and 1L "K Matějkovi". In total, 102 forest groups were evaluated. For these stands the values of the real potential of forests functions, the real effect of forests functions, the factor of actual social interest. On the basis of the values, the financial value of the functions of forests, especially recreational and hygienic functions, was also expressed. On the basis of the established values and in comparison with the actual status of the individual forest stands, concrete measures were proposed in the form of reconstruction of existing or construction of new recreational facilities on the school field Valšovice.

Name: Jana Matějková Title of work: Evaluation of outdoor use of landscape for recreation The bachelor thesis on the theme of the use of landscape for recreation is divided into two main parts, both theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis I focused on concepts related to the topic and how they are perceived by different authors. I also described what externalities and differences between qualitative and quantitative research are. The practical part can be divided into three parts: preparation, field survey and written form. The sports area that I chose for my work is the Olešnice Ski Resort and has been conducting research on the impact of the site's existence on local stakeholders.

Vyhodnocení veřejného zájmu na lesích a návrh komunikační strategie s veřejností na příkladu modelového území Třeboňské pánve

The diploma thesis deals with and evaluates the public interest in the forests, the work was elaborated in the territory of the Třeboň Basin, as a model example, the Forest Administration Třeboň, where the Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area is also located. The aim of the thesis was to propose procedures for communication strategy in the field of public relations. The diploma thesis is divided into two basic parts. The theoretical part focuses on the issues of communication strategy, definition and characterization of studied territory and analysis of public interest from a theoretical point of view, especially from the point of view of legislation. The practical part is focused on the research itself, which took place in the summer of 2017. The data of the Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic for the years 2015 and 2016 are used to evaluate the quantitative indicators of forest attendance. In the course of the diploma thesis a questionnaire was created, which was placed 3046 forest visitors. The survey results are presented in the diploma thesis. The survey shows that the public perceives, among other things, insufficient information about foresters' activities. In the framework of the work activities are proposed which should be part of the communication strategy in forestry. The communication strategy should be a comprehensive work of many forestry institutions.

Návrh naučné stezky v Zakřanech

The thesis deals with proposal of the nature trail project in Zakřany. The theoretical part of the thesis is firstly focused on the issue of Educational trails, especially from the point of view of their creation. Attention is therefore paid to the principles of creation, legislation or sources of funding. It also draws attention to certain pitfalls associated with their creation and outlines the possibilities of their use, especially in terms of primary schools. Another part of the literature review deals with the issue of forests. After defining and giving meaning, their social functions are presented. In the practical part, the life trail in the forest was designed as a project. The pre-project phase was elaborated and then the project solution was proposed. In the framework of the pre-project phase, the current situation was described, the SWOT analysis of the project, the target set, the target group, the Stakeholder analysis, etc. were elaborated. The subject of the project proposal was, among other things, the creation of WBS with a description of the two most important work packages related to the route design and the content design of the educational trail information panels. Furthermore, time scheduling was performed and the possible sources of funding, including the preliminary budget. The subject of the proposal was also the management of people, risks and the definition of project sustainability. Selected members of the municipal council were approached in order to find out about the possible implementation of the educational trail.

Ekonomická, ekologická a environmentální analýza pro odlišnou dřevinnou skladbu na LZ Židlochovice

The main content of the thesis comparing selected stands at LZ Židlochovice. Forests were compared with a predominance of English oak (Quercus robur), black walnut (Juglans nigra) and poplar stands (Populus spp.). It was not pursued only production functions, but the thesis deals with evaluation of non-production functions of forests and their social importance for the population. The results indicate that the selected forests at LZ Židlochovice have high bioproduction and sanitary-hygienic function. Conversely ecological functions - stabilization is low. In economic terms can return from the forests very high, assuming grow quality range
