Evaluation of Business Financial Support

The goal of this thesis is the analysis of small and medium enterprises financial support with respect to the Joint Regional Operational Programme as an bearer of regional support, which is financed from the European Union and the following list of recommendations within the frame of the realization stage of the project cycle that are generalized especially at the level of the final user as the beneficiary of the support.
The legal and economic aspects of the supervision of the credit union sector in the Czech Republic by the Czech National Bank

This thesis focuses on the legal and economic aspects of the supervision of the credit union sector in the Czech Republic by the Czech National Bank (CNB). The central point of interest is the case study of the credit union WPB Capital, which in 2014 had its operating licence revoked for illegal operations, namely the acquisition of prohibited securities and the provision of financial assistance to acquire additional member deposits, contrary to the CNB's interpretation. The work is based on the author's involvement in the case and uses authentic documents from the administrative proceedings and judicial review, as well as other relevant materials. The first part is devoted to the theoretical background of the financial market and credit unions. This is followed by an analysis of CNB supervision and a historical overview of the development of credit unions in the Czech Republic. The legal framework and instruments are then discussed in the context of the WPB Capital case study. The aim of the paper is to assess the compliance of the activities of the examined entity with the law and European legislation and to evaluate the justification of the CNB's action. Compensation to crime victims Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the issue of compensation to crime victims, specifically compensation provided by the state, whether under the name of financial assistance or compensation. One of the aims of the thesis was to subject the current legislation to a critical analysis and point out its possible imperfections. I also addressed the question of whether effective legislation succeeds in achieving the objectives set, namely the protection of the victim, the determination of clear conditions for the provision of compensation by the state and facilitating the victim's position in obtaining information and applying for financial assistance. Finally, the sub-objective was also to formulate de lege ferenda proposals that would help resolve the ambiguities and inaccuracies of the current legislation. The whole work is divided into five parts, including the introduction and conclusion. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical definition of the key institutes necessary to understand the issue. Title of the thesis: Financial assistance, its elements and consequences of violation Abstract: This thesis deals with the complex issue of providing financial assistance under Czech law. The thesis has five chapters. This thesis aims to provide answers to interpretation issues of financial assistance. The first chapter outlines the general historical development of financial assistance and the definition of the term financial assistance. An integral part of this chapter is a demonstrative definition of the forms of financial assistance, with significance to the case-law of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the issue of indirect financial assistance and concludes that it is necessary to apply the legal provisions of financial assistance to situations where one does not provide financial assistance directly, but rather through a third party., The author also includes the provision of financial assistance from the controlled entity to acquire a stake in the controlling entity under the financial assistance regulation under the regulation of financial assistance. This dissertation looks at selected matters covered by the statutory provisions on the shareholders protection as set out in the Commercial Code. It focuses mainly on the matters contained in Section 196a of the Commercial Code, Section 193 (2) of the Commercial Code, and on the issue of financial assistance. In addition, this dissertation deals with the legal protection of shareholders under the Business Corporations Act which is to take effect on 1 January 2014, and provides a brief outline of how these matters are regulated under certain foreign laws. As well, it provides a comparison with the legal regulations of the European Union. This dissertation is comprised of three sections, each having several parts. The parts are further divided into articles. Section 1 analyses the statutory provisions on the protection of shareholders as given in the Commercial Code, and is divided into four parts. The introduction, given in Part I, focuses on the protection of shareholders under the Commercial Code in the general sense. The purpose of regulation of financial assistance to limited liability companies Purpose of this thesis is to show that the regulation of the financial assistance for acquisition of own shares in case of limited liability company (in Czech: "společnost s ručením omezeným") does not make sense anymore. As it fails to fulfil its original purpose, and, moreover, it repeatedly causes significant problems to transactions that would bring an economical advantage if it was not for the financial assistance regulation. Aim of chapter one is to summarize the history and the development of the financial assistance regulation in the Czech Republic as well as in other jurisdictions. Some issues which are typically linked to the financial assistance regulation are shown by the comparison especially with the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. Comparison of causes and solutions of the current economic problems of Ireland and Greece

The aim of this master thesis is to analyze and look for ways out of present debt crisis which the states of euro zone are in. I am exploring these issues on the two countries, which have accepted the euro as their currency. European Union (or more precisely euro zone) has had problems for almost the whole of decade, which are now threatening its being. The basic causes are mainly the lack of structural assumptions of single European economies. The practical part of the master thesis is dealing with comparison of financial assistance, which was provided to Greece and Ireland from EU and IMF. It is evaluating the effectiveness of such help with regard to current economic situation and outlook. The thesis is comparing both of these countries from their entry to European Community and it is assessing fulfillment of Maastricht criteria. It is exploring economic and political situation of both countries and is dealing with the period after the global financial crisis, which has revealed long-term and unresolved problems if selected states of European Union.
