Unconventional machining processes
Exnerová, Jitka ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the methods of the unconventional machining. The first part outlines the history of the machining methods, their characteristic and use follows. The second part aims at the method of the water jet, its technology, safety use, its advantages and disadvantages. Subsequently the thesis presents selected companies dealing with water jet cutting technology. At the end the thesis presents the environmental impact of the water jet cutting.
Chemical Machining Technology
Macháček, David ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the most used methods of chemical machining in the industry. There are discussed the basic principles of particular methods, their advantages and disadvantages, as well as their best use in terms of economics. The properties of used chemicals and basic safety in working with them are also mentioned.
Use of unconventional technologies in the production of a selected component
Havlínová, Denisa ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Dvořáková, Jana (advisor)
The biggest challenge during manufacturing copper part with microslit for optical spectrometer by the means of unconventional technologies was to meet specified narrow range of tolerances and reach right angles at the microslit corners. Electrical discharge machining and laser beam machining were two practically performed methos and both successfully met these tolerances. After consultation is focused ion beam also considered as suitable method for this task, while for photochemical machining is impossible to meet those narrow tolerances. Right angles were not achieved by any of tested methods. At laser cutting edges were proven defects (burrs, molten material), while we saw no negative defects on electrical discharge workpiece surface. Even after optimalization of EDM was machining time longer and there is assumed higher other production cost (tool manufacturing for every single workpiece), but still EDM seems to be more advantageous from financial and surface quality aspect. Based on theoretical research and practical manufacturing is recommend to manufacture specified component with microslit by EDM.
Nekonvenční metody obrábění materiálu
LARVA, Jaroslav
The bachelor thesis deals with the summary and characteristics of unconventional machining methods used in mechanical engineering for the agricultural or automotive industry, such as chemical, electrochemical machining, electroerosive machining, ultrasonic machining, laser machining or electro beam machining. The first part includes a systematic division and characteristics of individual methods. For each method, the history, machining principle, machining equipment, advantages and typical area of application of individual unconventional technologies in technical practice are described. The final chapter contains a comparison of individual methods depending on the achieved surface quality and dimensional tolerance.
