Financial Situation Analysis of Building Company

This thesis includes financial situation analysis of the building company UNISTAV for the period 2008-2012. The analysis is based on data contained in the financial statements of the company. This thesis is divided into a theoretical part, where are analysed financial ratios, and a practical part, where these ratios are applied to the data of the company. Company state on the market for the period above is evaluated in the final statement at the end of this thesis.

This thesis deals with the evaluation of financial situation of the company Vetropack Moracia Glasss a.s. from 2009 to 2013 including analysis of regional importance of the company, such as employment, competitiveness, sustainable development, environmental aspects. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part consists of literature research, which identifies and explains main characteristics of financial analysis and each regional aspect. The practical part focuses on calculations and following evaluation of the financial situation and regional status of the company.

The explanatory power of the financial statements in relation to the evaluation of the financial health of the firm

The objective of the Bachelor thesis is an assessment of the explanatory power of the financial statements and their use to evaluate the financial health of the company ČSAD Jihotrans, a.s. The theoretical part deals with the content, structure, meaning and the legal adjustment of the individual financial statements. Also contains an overview of the basic techniques of financial analysis with a focus on horizontal and vertical analysis of the financial statements and on the analysis ratios. In the practical part is first presented to the analysed company. The next part is devoted to the financial analysis for the period 2006 - 2009. The ratios were the liquidity indicators applied, profitability, activities, and indebtedness. A summary assessment of the health of the analysis of the company is in this part of the Bachelor thesis also used Altman Z-score. The final section is devoted to the evaluation of the results of financial analyses and specific recommendations.

Financial analysis as a tool for asset and capital management

This thesis deals with general characteristics of financial analysis, the importance of financial analysis for financial management, an expression of financial ratios, including their systems, economic value added, and some bankruptcy and creditworthy models. The analytical section of the thesis applies selected financial indicators to interpret the financial situation of the constructional company Hochtief CZ.
