Proposal for a cartographic visualization of data in the planning analytical documents

The aim of this thesis is to propose a correct cartographic visualization of data contained in the planning analytical documents and to implement of the proposed solution to sample of municipalities with extended competence. First part of this thesis includes significance, purpose and structure of planning analytical documents and data which are presented in the form of cartographic outputs. This part is followed by interpretation of recommended methods and the concept of Thematic Cartography. The last part of the thesis includes proposal of exemplary cartographic outputs that should be part of the planning analytical documents, including design map key and map layout.

Maps, which are placed into these materials, are assessed according to a technical and esthetical qualification. First part of this thesis contains interpretations of different methods of cartographic assessment. In this part we choose most acceptable method for this theme. In the next part of this thesis we use verbal assessment to assess cartographic works in planning analytical materials. Last part presents new maps, where has been applied the correct cartographic techniques and which can replace the old ones in those documents. Ascertainment of landscape values in a municipality with extended competence České Budějovice

Submitted thesis deals with the area of a municipality with extended competence of České Budějovice that is a part of a district with the same name in the South Bohemian Region. The aim of this thesis is the completion of the contemporary territorially-analytical data in cooperation with the Regional Authority of the South Bohemian Region in České Budějovice and providing the results of this research to relevant authorities. The thesis consists of three main parts: theoretical, which deals with the characteristics of the area and territorially-analytical sources, methodological, describing the data collection and creating the map materials, and description of discovered values of the landscape. The main outcomes are map layers and attribute tables, capturing discovered values of the landscape, attached to them.

Minor religious objects in the landscape of ORP Chotěboř

The thesis deals with the mapping of small religious buildings such as chapels, wayside crosses and crosses in the landscape of administrative area ORP Chotěboř. For the object of updating the Territorial analytical materials for the year 2014. The introductory part consists of evaluation of methods and the data that were used in this thesis. The next part consists of field research, during which the given values had been searched in the landscape, then recording their geographic location using GPS, photo documentation and finding the searched attributes. In the next part the analysis of the location of religious buildings in the landscape is carried out, along with the typology of monitored religious elements in the landscape. In cooperation with the Municipality in Chotěboř the data structure of map data for individual objects is prepared by the data model of Territorial analytical materials in GIS version 4.0. The thesis contains a methodology for developing the geodatabase in ArcGIS software. The text also includes photographs, tables and map attachments.

The primary goal of my diploma work is to point out the topic of creating the territorial study and aplicating my knowledge of territorial studies as working and analysing the territorial study in České Budejovice. In the first chapter there is the literary summary of territorial studies and urbanism in general connected with other related branches and disciplines. In the sekond charter we can find the brief description of Česke Budejovice as the city and also the detailed description of the area, we are interested in, because of working out the territorial study and using the territorial analytic materials in order to create it. The reader will learn about the general terms of town planning and urbanism and he or she will also learn about the detailed information of the project architekt's work. In the practic part of this work there is the topic of creating the territorial study in-depht and also other topics such as the limits of use for specific area, the restrictions of some branch, for example agriculture, housing developement, traffic and so on. The reader will also learn about the mening of territorial study within all its groundworks, basis, instruments, supplements and anexes. I agree that the main contribution of my work is to summarize of the general topics and parts, that the territorial study should contain and then its aplication to the territorial study of České Budejovice.
