Application for automated rating of the media being played

This thesis describes the development of the MelodyMetrics Android application, which aims to evaluate user's media listening habits based on critical rating downloaded from the web. The app is developed in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose library, it records the music played on user's device, downloads its rating from the web and provides statistics on the quality of their music selection. The work provides a comprehensive overview of the modern Android development process and describes the technologies used. The source code and installation package are published on GitHub.

Archaeological Evidence of Pottery from Truhlářská Street in Prague

This thesis deals with archaeological evidence of medieval pottery products which were discovered during the emergency archaeological excavation in the area of former Jiřího z Poděbrad barracks on Náměstí Republiky square in Prague. This area is nowadays called Palladium shopping centre. The first part of the thesis deals with real findings. These are construction debris of burning kilns and historical evolution of its construction. The second part of the thesis compares results of excavation with historical datas. The last part of the thesis evaluates the extraordinarily huge file of ceramic artefacts from waste areas, especially defective pieces which complement the picture of medieval pottery production.

Jarkovice and Zejbišský dvůr - examples of two settlement patterns in the Bohemian forest

V předkládané práci se budu věnovat dvěma vzájemně nedalekým lokalitám v Pošumaví, larkovicím a Zejbišslému dvoru. Bude rozdělena do dvou částí, první, která se snaží na základě literatury charakterizovat tuto část Šumavy ajejí osídlení jako celek, a část druhou, která bude prezentovat lokality a nově objevené situace na nich. larkovice představují zajímavý příklad zaniklé vrcholně středověké hornicko - zemědělské vísky v extrémní poloze, po jejímž zániku na místě vznikla v 16. století skelná huť, ze které se do dnešních dnů uchovaly pozoruhodné relikty. Zejbišský dvůr je unikátně dochovaným králováckým dvorcem, jemuž podobné tvořily od 16. století základ osídlení specifické oblasti Královského hvozdu. I zde, ve stejné době jako v larkovicích, fungovala skelná huť. Dnes se však zdá být osud dvora zpečetěn, objekty jsou v dezolátním stavu, nejstarší obytné části hrozí zřícení, jasné je, že zimu 2008/2009 zastřešení a některé klenby nepřežijí. To bylo podnětem dokumentace dvora, prospekcí v okolí a tím pádem i vzniku celé práce.
