Lead-acid battery formation
Hlaváč, Pavel ; Tošer, Pavel (referee) ; Vaculík, Sebastian (advisor)
This bachelor project deals with the pulse charging of lead-acid batteries and ways of formation of electrodes so that the new batteries can constantly offer high performance and efficiency for its life. The work is an attempt to compare and determine whether the formation of different charging modes will not have a major impact on the quality of a formed battery. The formation of the different modes uses both the pulse and continuous charging. Everything is tested on four manufactured articles. The production of positive electrode and formation of accumulator is processed in various chapters of my project at our workplace.
Dynamic model of the batteries
Milichovský, Miloš ; Vaculík, Sebastian (referee) ; Tošer, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis includes the basic principles of lead-acid, NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion batteries. There is a description of their features and phenomena that processes in the batteries during charging and discharging. The most important part is devoted to dynamic models of these types of batteries, the parameters that are necessary for their modeling, and testing of absolute error models. Further, the model in Matlab was created which allows the simulation of the GRID-OFF photovoltaic system using the battery model.
Impedance measurement of lead-acid accumulator properties
Vaculík, Sebastian ; Neoral, Jiří (referee) ; Abraham, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with the new and unique four-point method measurement of the impedance characteristics for experimental positive electrode. The theoretical part provides a short introduction to the electrochemical power sources, including the lead-acid batteries, which were used for measurement. Furthermore, there is description of the principle of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and analysis of obtained data by using the equivalent circuit, consisting of passive components. The experimental section is devoted to the description of the device, which is used for realization of connection of electrodes with Potenciostat VSP, and program which is used for the simplification of processing of results. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to get better understanding of lead-acid accumulators and impedance measurements. At practical part of the thesis I performed first measurements by two-step method based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

CNC router for PCB
Gerják, Rastislav ; Vaculík, Sebastian (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
In mechanical industry, both additive and subtractive manufacturing methods are controlled by instructions in G-code, making it possible to utilize both technologies in one modular device. Main objective is to design, construct, and calibrate multipurpose machine based on RepRap 3D printer, which will be able to use attached spindle to precisely mill light materials. Particular emphasis is given to ability to carve a pattern and drill holes in plated substrate in order to create functional PCB by incision.
The combined effect of glass fibers and titanium oxide as the negative electrode additive on the properties of the lead accumulator
Gerlich, Jakub ; Vaculík, Sebastian (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problematic of lead acid batteries for HEVs. It starts with classification of electrochemical cells then proceeds to focus on lead acid batteries, mainly because they are the most used source of electrical power in automotive industry. The practical part of the work describes the process of manufacturing the electrode system used in the later parts. The experimental part is focused on the behaviour of the cells under conditions that appear in hybrid electric vehicles. The effect of aditives in active matter of the negative electrode on the parameters of the cells is observed, such as voltage, capacity and operating life
Analysis of the gas flow in the passage of the primary electron beam differentially pumped chamber depending on the shape of the nozzle inlet
Hladký, David ; Vaculík, Sebastian (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
It is necessary to separate sample chamber with pressure up to 2000 Pa and the surroundings of tube with pressure 0.01 Pa with help of a differential pumped chamber at the environmental scanning electron microscope This differential pumped chamber is to be designed so that it has to manage to separate sections with very different pressures sufficiently and in the trajectory of transitting (overflying) prime electrons the average value of pressure and density has to be as low as possible, so that it would occure the lowest diffusion of these electrons, which is caused by collisions of electrons and air molecules too. It were created axisymmetric 2D models variant of Differentially pumped chamber with different opening angles of the clone, which were analyzed to choose the best variant. The Ansys Fluent systeme using finite volume method for analysis of fluid flow was used for analysis.
