HLA typizace v klinické praxi - využití k testování predispozic k onemocněním autoimunitního typu
VESELÁ, Dominika
Autoimmune diseases require the interplay of internal (genetic) and external (environmental) factors to develop and erupt. The essential genetic factors include HLA alleles, whose carrying is associated with a significant predisposition to the development of a specific autoimmune disease. This Master Thesis deals with the problematics of autoimmune diseases associated with HLA system. The practical part focuses on the examination of predisposing alleles related to celiac disease as one of the most widespread autoimmune disease, which many scientific teams are dealing with, but even in the Czech Republic there are not enough population studies of this disease. Thanks to data from genetic laboratory GENLABS s.r.o. in České Budějovice, ÚHKT and VFN in Prague it was possible to focus on such population study.

THE ORGANIZATION OF FINANCIAL SERVICES SUPERVISION - A COMPARISON OF CZECH REPUBLIC, GERMANY, AUSTRIA AND SWITZERLAND Summary Financial services supervision has become an inexhaustible subject matter of intense debates in the past two decades and many countries have recently adopted a new, mostly integrated, institutional structure of financial supervision, among them the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, four countries, each representing a different type of political and economic system. This thesis deals with the institutional issues of financial services supervision, successively in the named countries. Actually, these issues are a prerequisite for effective and efficient execution of all supervisory functions. The institutional aspects are presented in their three main forms. First, the focus is given on institutional structure of supervision, especially with regard to the model structures, as presented and analyzed in the first part of the thesis. Closely related to this is also the internal organizational set-up of the supervisory agency; an appropriate designation of corporate governance can positively influence the supervisory process. Second, for the mere operability of every organization disposable resources are essential. There are two points of view concerning the funding dealt...

VESELÁ, Dominika
Tick saliva contain molecules that suppress the immune response of host organism thereby faciliting the transmission of pathogens by tick vectors. Neutrophils are the most common type of white blood cells. They participate in the acute phase of inflammation and via excretion of cytokines they mobilize other components of the immune system. This bachelor´s thesis focused on demonstrating of tick-borne encephalitis virus replication in neutrophils and on detection of cytokine production by neutrophilic granulocytes upon activation by the tick-borne encephalitis virus and the possible impact of tick saliva of tick Ixodes ricinus on the parameters mentioned above.

This thesis deals with the organizational structure of financial supervision in Germany with a view to asses the recently completed institutional integration. First, the overview of theoretical models of financial supervisory agencies is submitted including advantages and disadvantages of such concepts. Being aware of the absence of a sole universal applicable solution of the institutional organization of financial supervision, the fundamental requirements are introduced, generally imposed on every financial regulation system in order to perform its tasks effectively. The emphasis of this paper rests upon presenting the German financial supervision in several terms. The main section surveys the evolution of supervision until the formation of BaFin -- Federal Financial Supervision Agency, the ample scope is devoted to legal issues, the inner organization of BaFin is described in detail and the particular attention is paid to funding. The reality of day-to-day supervisory activities is explored in the passage related to problems of financial supervision, where especially the complex question of mutual cooperation between BaFin and Bundesbank In the field of bank supervision comes to light. The supervision-costs analysis focused on the situation prior to integration and mistakenly assumed course after its implementation supplements the general view. Considering all proposed facts the conclusion offers a review of assumptions ensuring a proper supervisory structure.
