The impacts of keeping quality and safety systems of crop production on the price of final product
Fremuth, Jan ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Ondřej, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of compliance processes to ensure safety and quality of food. These standards are embedded in the world's standards, the standards. In the introduction, the author explains the reason for the choice of this topic. Further hypotheses and objectives formulated by the work that have to be met and verified. From the available literature was created glossary topic, where I describe the history of the topic, its evolution and the current status at the present time. In the next chapter the author verifies the formulated hypotheses and meets the objectives of the work, all on the basis of the specified methods. At the conclusion of the work the author confronts the detected results with findings from the available literature, with hypotheses, review, and outlined the future continuation of the thesis.
Effect of different treatments of corn to increase biomass production
Pokorný, František ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Ondřej, Ondřej (referee)
Maize is one of the most profitable crops in our country. Therefore, new technological processes are implemented and developed at growing maize. Despite the relatively extensive knowledge and experience in growing maize, these technologies are abundant with risks and possible pitfalls. A very important question above all is the one concerning the soil treatment; fertilization and nutrition suitable for maize growing. Thesis deals with proposing an appropriate system of fertilization the maize suitable for silage by all different means of wide fertilization applications, fertilization supplements at the base and at the top with relation to production of silage. During the vegetation, we took measurement of maize plants. Thesis also evaluates the intensity and volume of chlorophyll in leaves of maize that was not treated. The experimental plants of maize were situated on testing field of Research Station, Faculty of Agronomy. Food and Naturall Resources at the Czech Agricultural University in Prague in Červený Újezd (district Prague - West). After the harvest, all variants of maize were examined from the perspective of profit in green state and in the dry state. Within the one-year experiment, we found following results that may help in the planning the basic or supplemental fertilization of silage maize. Therefore, based on the results launched, we present that the wide top use of Zeastim fertilizers in combination with Urea Stabil fertilizer has impact on higher growth of green mass, so it proves higher profit of green and dried mass.
Options control the occurrence of tiny cranesbill (Geranium pusillum) in the poppy crop.
Nouza, Petr ; Cihlář, Pavel (advisor) ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (referee)
Summary The aim of the thesis was to find out as much information available about the smallflowered cranesbill (Geranium pusillum) as possible, which would contribute to the struggle against the poppy plant (Papaver somniferum). These information are: morphology, nutrition requirements, requirements for environment, vegetation period, seed formation, quantity of seed dispersal, germination and dormancy of seeds. Further aim was to find out which preparation shows effect on cranesbill diminutive and its potential phytotoxicity on poppy with emphasis on the pre-emergence herbicides which were used in the experiment. Five agents were used as separately or as combinations, namely: clomazone, pethoxamid, mesotrione , metezachlor and DMTA - P. Final aim was to determine which product and active agent is able to exterminate smallflowered cranesbill in other crops.
Using the Technology of Narrow Rows as an Anti-Erosion Measure in Corn Cultivation
Nevěčný, Karel ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Cihlář, Pavel (referee)
Soil is a basic, limited and non-renewable natural resource. It is the natural wealth of each country. Therefore, soil erosion is a major problem not only in the Czech Republic, but also on a global scale. As a result of the erosion process, the stability of soil aggregates is broken; there appears loss of organic matter and nutrient transport, or land within the property or outside. These factors cause irreversible damage to soils, which ultimately has both environmental and economic impacts. As the wide-rows crops areas increase, including corn there increases even the interest of professionals and the public in that problem. At the present, there are searched new technologies of corn cultivation, which should help in elimination of risks associated with that crop cultivation. The aim of this thesis was to analyze selected soil conservation technologies in corn crops in the company ZD Krasna Hora nad Vltavou in terms of their impact on aquatic soil erosion and biomass production. There were analyzed the technologies of tillage disc harrows soil processing, sowing directly into freezing-out crops and as a control a fallow was established. We have also analyzed two inter-rows spacing of vegetation establishment, namely 37,5 cm and 75 cm. The results of this work show an evident positive effect of no-tillage technology of corn cultivation, whether in the narrow or wide rows that are particularly effective at the beginning of the growing season, which is the most problematic for corn. As for the yield of biomass is concerned, the highest yield of biomass was achieved in variants with the width of 75 cm and in technology of sowing into freezing-out crops. The work also includes a literature review, which covers erosion, erosion control measures, corn and tillage systems. Special attention is paid to so-called soil-protection technologies, which are used primarily in wide-rows crops such as corn.
Methods of cultivation and protection of potatoes in organic farming
Dykast, Petr ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Král, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of effectiveness of biological productss intended for the protection and promotion of plant growth. The literary research contains the theoretical part dealing with potato cultivation in the organic farming system. Own work deals with methodology and materials of his own experiment. The whole experiment was carried on the fields of the author of the thesis and focuses on the effectiveness of the selected means used in potato cultivation in organic agriculture and the comparison of the effects biological products versus variant without treatment. The main aim of the experiment is to monitor the effectiveness of potato mold and their effect on crop yield. Another objective is to monitor the effectiveness of the product to reduce the incidence of pests.
