This bachelor thesis will be concerned with gender questions in the labor market. The thesis will elucidate and explain all the basic terms. It will describe the history of human rights in the world and gender problems in the Czech Republic. The work will explain the legislation of equal opportunities in the European law and in the Czech law also. The conclusion of theoretic part of the thesis will be focused on the actual situation in the Czech Republic with the point of view at gender problems. The practical part will summarize opinions of respondents at the general questions in gender problems.

Bachelor thesis examines the status of women in the labor market, the differences in the careers of men and women, in pay and segregation into different jobs. Further work includes a comparison of equal opportunities, outlines the legal definition and enclosure of the issue in the legislation of the CR. Bachelor thesis in its practice of conducting a survey of large companies to map differences in working conditions for women and men, their labor market position and ascertain the views of staff on this issue.

This bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with issues of gender equality in the labour market. Especially the labour market situations, which are regulated by Czech legislation and legislation of OSN and EU. These situations include recruitment, remuneration and approaches to decision making. The bachelor thesis also describes gendered organizations and gender-integrated organizations. The practical part evaluates the respondents views on gender equality in the labour market. Especially on conditions, which are in the labour market created and if these conditions are respected in practice.
