The OCDM system model
Sekanina, Tomáš ; Miloš, Jiří (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
Master thesis The OCDM System Model is focused on problematics of multi carrier modulation techniques and in detail analyses the OCDM system. The first part of the work contains theoretical and mathematical description of digital communication system in general. The next part focuses on OCDM system and Fresnel transform, whose discrete form is kernel of the system. Digital model of the OCDM system is realized in programming language MATLAB. In the digital model is performed simulation of information from transmitter to receiver in AWGN and fading channel. The results are evaluated from the viewpoint of the system resilience against errors and achievable system throughput. The end of the master thesis is dedicated to mutual compatibility and comparison between OCDM and OFDM system.
Human activity detection in indoor spaces via WLAN network
Sekanina, Tomáš ; Vašina, Petr (referee) ; Miloš, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis represents possibilities of use WLAN network and standard IEEE 802.11n for object or human detection in a room with different scenarios. Bachelor thesis includes a theoretical description of WLAN network and family of WLAN standards IEEE 802.11 with detailed focus on standard IEEE 802.11n and its physical layer. Attention is also paid to the wave propagation inside buildings. It also includes description of measuring Wi-Fi INTEL 5300 NIC, CSI Tool 802.11n and controlling measuring NIC in operating system Linux. In practical part is demonstrated analysis of high-throughput packets using standard 802.11n. Results of measurement of object and human detection in a room are exported to programming language MATLAB and there are analyzed. Results of experiments are discussed in conclusion of bachelor thesis.
The OCDM System Model
Sekanina, Tomáš
This paper focuses on the multi-carrier modulation technique called Orthogonal Chirp DivisionMultiplex (OCDM). The first part of the paper contains theoretical and mathematical descriptionof the OCDM system in general. Then digital model of the OCDM modulator and demodulatoris realized in programming language MATLAB. Realization of the model represents two possiblemathematical implementations of the Fresnel transform, whose discrete form is kernel of the system. In the digital model is performed simulation of information from transmitter to receiver in AWGNchannel. Results are evaluated from the viewpoint of the system resilience against errors.
