Non-prototypical uses of Ancient Greek imperfect of the verbs of saying in narrative prose

v angličtině 1) To create brief characteristics of particular functions of the Greek imperfect based on papers from reputable scientific handbooks of the greek grammar: Rijksbaron, Smyth, Schwyzer - Debrunner, Kühner - Gerth, Duhoux, Humbert. 2) To look up the secondary literature relevant for the topic in bibliographic handbooks and databases L'année philologique, GoogleScholar, Gnomon, Buijs etc. 3) The thesis won't follow the ussual distinction between imperfect: imperfectivity and aorist: perfectivity. Contrariwise, the student's task will be to find cases which don't corespond with the standard distinction and to comment, classify and find an explanation for these non-standard occurences. The material will be excerpted from adequately extensive passage from a narrative work of the student's own choise.
