Influence of aging on selected properties of asphalt binders

In this bachelor’s thesis, the properties of four asphalt binders with different degree of modification are compared. The influence of aging on their properties is examined. In the theoretical part, the types of aging, their impact on binders, basic laboratory methods of aging and the details of performed tests are explained. In the practical part, the results of tests are evaluated and the change of properties before and after aging are compared.

Coarse-grained asphalt mixtures

The diploma thesis investigates the properties of coarse-grained asphalt mixtures ACP 32, which are compared with the properties of ACP 22 mixtures. The theoretical part deals with the composition of asphalt mixtures, their production, transport and laying. Experience with using coarse-grained mixtures around the world is also presented. The practical part deals with mixture design, production and testing to assess the properties of the mixtures. The tests selected for the comparison of the properties are wheel tracking, TSRST and stiffness by a two-point bending test.
