Multiple sclerosis cerebrospinal - clinical tests reliability assesment
Rýdlová, Zuzana ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Joachimová, Marie (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to verify inter-rater reliability and internal consistency of clinical tests included in battery of tests. The battery is composed of 12 tests - Low-Contrast Letter Acuity, Nine Hole Peg Test, Timed 25 - Foot Walk, Paced Auditory Serial Addition, Motoricity Index, Modified Ashworth Scale, Berg Balance Scale and tests of postural reactions, knee hyperextension, tremor, dysdiadochokinesia and ataxia. We evaluated inter-rater reliability by measuring the equality between two sets of results obtained by two observers investigating independently the same set of nine patients. To this aim we used two statistical methods: Intraclass corelation coefficient and Bland-Atman's graphs. Internal consistency was examined by applying Cohen's alpha coefficient. Satisfactory inter-rater reliability was found at 10 tests, only Modified Ashworth Scale and ataxia assesment indicate lower value. Internal consistency is sufficient at 10 tests, only tremor assesment and Motoricity Index didn't fulfill our criteria. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
