Petrikovičová, Markéta ; Červinka, Pavel (advisor) ; Feher, Jan (referee)
Title: Foot strikes technique of elite Czech female runners. Aims: The main aim of this thesis was to analyse the pedalling of elite Czech female runners at the beginning and at the end of the main part of the training unit. Subsequently, to compare the results with the literature on the subject, to answer the research questions and to formulate conclusions. Methods of work: Kinematic analysis was used to create this work. Considering the objectives of the thesis, a qualitative method was chosen with subsequent recording of key moments of the foot strike technique in a recording sheet. Results: The fatigue during the main part of the training unit of the Czech elite female runners did not affect their pedaling technique. Female athletes who specialize in middle distances usually adopted a forefoot or midfoot landing strategy, while long- distance runners are characterized by a heel strike. Key words: ground contact, analysis, elite female runners, pronation, supination
