Reaction of President Franklin D. Roosevelt to Pearl Harbor attack and US entry into World War II

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze events that led in 1941 to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and the following decision of American president F. D. Roosevelt to declare war on the Japanese Empire and enter the fighting of World War II. In addition to the personality of one of the most important American presidents, the bachelor thesis deals with Roosevelt's activities at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s, as well as American foreign policy in the period. The source base consists of primarily the publication of documents of the American foreign policy Foreign Relations of the United States Diplomatic Papers, Roosevelt's speeches and numerous foreign literature, including the latest foreign-language studies.
