Multiple criteria analysis of selected world indexes

This thesis deals with the analyses of selected world indexes using multiple criteria methods with cardinal information and methods for modelling preferences of decision-maker. Out of multiple criteria methods Weighted Sum Average (WSA) and The Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) are applied. From many possible methods to determinate weights are selected Method of Order and Scoring Method. The thesis explores three world indexes, specifically The Legatum Prosperity Index, Global Gender Gap and Freedom in the World. All of these three indexes are annually published and define majority of countries in the world. In corresponding chapters every index is introduced including description of actual results, explanation of methodology and also sensitivity of change in applied multiple-criteria evaluation of alternatives methods is tested.
