Machalová, Nicole
The presented diploma thesis deals with rainwater management in the selected area. The theoretical part first defines the basic concepts of the given issue, precipitation patterns in the Czech Republic, water retention in the landscape and rainwater management, where the legal framework is also defined. Furthermore, the theoretical part explains the concept of rainwater management in urban areas, where individual water management measures are described in more detail. Rainwater management measures are supplemented by suitable examples from the Czech Republic and abroad. Finally, the possibilities of financing rainwater management are described. In the practical part of the thesis, the selected area is described, which is the village of Velké Němčice, located in the Břeclav district in the South Moravian Region, in broader contexts. As part of the field survey, places and objects were selected in the municipality for which a proposal for a water management measure was prepared, which is supplemented by maps and suitable visualizations. In total, four locations were selected where rainwater management measures can be implemented, namely the Křepická street, where a parking lot with a permeable paved surface is proposed, the Primary school building, where a living wall is proposed, the Brodač location, where the restoration of the pond of the same name is planned, and last but not least, a proposal for measures along the stream called Křepický.

The presented thesis on “Landscape Value Management and Conflicts in Land Use” deals with the development of the village of Velké Němčice, including financing options and coordination of conflicts of interest in land use. The main goal of the thesis is to identify deficiencies in the strategic documents of the municipality and analyze the values and problems of the territory from the perspective of various user groups (the author of the thesis, citizens, local organizations, farmers and hunters). Based on the findings, possibilities for further development of the territory are proposed, projected into a municipality management plan that can be directly applied in practice. New proposals are complemented by maps, visualizations and photographs taken during a field survey. Overall, 11 development possibilities were proposed for the town, mainly focusing on the development of blue-green infrastructure, civic amenities, and recreational and sports facilities. The thesis also includes an analysis of the real estate market, which helped determine the real price of building plots and family houses in the town. The thesis provides a comprehensive view of the situation in Velké Němčice and proposes specific options for community development and territorial planning.
