As well as it happened in the case of the castle buildings of the Rožmberks and the Lords of Hradec in Jindřichův Hradec and in Telč. Face Recognition in Social Networks

Popularity of face recognition in image galleries and social networks is growing. But none of these real world applications let the user adjust parameters. The goal of this thesis is to develop a library for face detection and recognition which can be easily used in some other program and also a web application recognizing faces, with environment similar to the one of social networks, which uses the library. Of course we do not try to compete with big social networks in the field of face recognition, because it will be almost impossible due to their enormous databases. In the experimental part of the work we try to find most suitable parameters such that face detection and face recognition would be as accurate as possible.

Carlo Valmadi (about 1550 - 1620) - a Renaissance architect in Trutnov region Theme of this bachelor work is a summary of Carlo Valmadi's building activities. This Italien Renaissance architect worked on Valdštejn lordship - Hostinné steam - from 1572 to 1620. This bachelor work is devided into several chapters. The first chapter describes a coming of Northern Italien builders to Bohemia, in the concrete to Prague. It speaks also about situation in Italy, which starved inhabitants of Northern Italien region into migration to Middle Europe. Next chapter discourses Carlo Valmadi's life. His life is still very unclear and we don't have enough information about him. The second part of this chapter describes Valmadi's coming to Bohemia. Another part speaks about building conditions in Renaissance Prague, especially about Rožmberk and Lobkovic palaces. These two remarkable buildings are connected mainly with Italien builders. And also Carlo Valmadi probably joined in building of Lobkovic palace. Then the chapter discusses coming of this builder to Hostinné region. He came there during rule of Jiří Valdštejn. Jiří Valdštejn's wife Marie Magdalena Lobkovic probably knew Walmadi's work and it's possible, that she invited Valmadi into this region. Marie Magdalena's father was a builder of Lobkovic palace...
Financial analysis of selected company

Bachelor thesis uses financial analyses to evaluate financial health of a company CIE PRAGA Louny a.s. in years 2010 - 2014. In theoretical part there are characterized terms, methods and procedures. Knowledge obtained in theoretical part is applied in practical part, which evaluates development of business in reporting period. Information about the company is gained from open sources. Horizontal and vertical analyses of financial statement are used to determine financial situation of the monitored company, there are also used analyses of indicators of profitability, activity, liquidity and stability. On the bases of indicators of liquidity there is find out that company uses more foreign capital than it should have. According to Du Pont diagram there is find out that company has weaknesses and should increase profit margin. This thesis also contains bankruptcy and creditworthy models. Altman bankruptcy model shows the company in grey zone, in Czech modification of the model the company is evaluated as good. Creditworthy model is displayed by Kralick's quicktest and the company results in grey zone. In the end there is complete evaluation and recommendations to cover deficiency.
Hygienizace kalů v čistírnách odpadních vod

The Dissertation thesis compares the methods of hygienisation of wastewater treatment plants sludges with respect to meeting legislative requirements of conditions for using treated sludges on agricultural land. The thesis draws a comparison between the method of stabilisation and hygienisation of the sludge through the autothermal aerobic thermophilic stabilisation (AATS) by pure oxygen and the method of sludge hygienisation by pasteurization. The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the above-mentioned methods of hygienisation of wastewater treatment plant sludges, to compare their efficiency and a level of secondary contamination by indicator microorganisms before their subsequent treatment.
Methods of acquisition and processing of images based on sparse representations

Thesis deals with the reconstruction possibilities provided by the sparse representation of signals. This representation reduces the signal to a mere vector of elements which indicate the signal portion in the dictionary array. It outlined the problems with the quantized signal and recalled modulation type, involving a quantization and its ways. The solution is selected Douglas-Rachford algorithm that allows us to approximate on to the set of all acceptable solutions. At the end is demonstrated problem solution and several tests for presentation of created program.
Dictionary learning for sparse signal reconstruction

This bachelor thesis discusses the dictionary learning for the reconstruction of signal based on sparse representations. There are methods of static and optimized dictionary of matrices described that are used with approximative Orthogonal Matching Pursuit algorithm to reconstruct the missing groups of samples in the audio signal. There is theoretically analyzed algorithm for learning K-SVD dictionary together with its implementation in Matlab. Furthermore, the selected dictionaries are compared to the various types of audio signals.
Loudness Index Measuring

This thesis deals with noise measuring. There are described methods of measurement and evaluation of noise, focusing on Steven’s loudness calculation method. Basic concepts of acoustics are provided in the first part. There are also mentions measurement of noise using microphones and sound level meter. The second part is focused on the practical solution of thesis. In which it is made measurement of noise using sound level meter NTi Acoustilizer and implementation of the graphical user interface for calculation of the Steven’s loudness index in Matlab.
Optimization of the siphon swirl turbine draft tube

The goal of this diploma thesis is to design a new shape of the draft tube, which will be easier to manufacture while maintaining good strength and hydraulic properties. First part of this thesis is devoted to the formulation of the problem, description of the swirl turbine, principle of operation, the basic variants of arrangement, also the function of the draft tube, its efficiency and other formulas. In the second part of this thesis is a CFD and strength analysis of the original design, also a new design is proposed and the possibility of optimization using ANSYS Fluent Adjoint solver.
Inpainting of Missing Audio Signal Samples

V oblasti zpracování signálů se v současné době čím dál více využívají tzv. řídké reprezentace signálů, tzn. že daný signál je možné vyjádřit přesně či velmi dobře aproximovat lineární kombinací velmi malého počtu vektorů ze zvoleného reprezentačního systému. Tato práce se zabývá využitím řídkých reprezentací pro rekonstrukci poškozených zvukových záznamů, ať už historických nebo nově vzniklých. Především historické zvukové nahrávky trpí zarušením jako praskání nebo šum. Krátkodobé poškození zvukových nahrávek bylo doposud řešeno interpolačními technikami, zejména pomocí autoregresního modelování. V nedávné době byl představen algoritmus s názvem Audio Inpainting, který řeší doplňování chybějících vzorků ve zvukovém signálu pomocí řídkých reprezentací. Zmíněný algoritmus využívá tzv. hladové algoritmy pro řešení optimalizačních úloh. Cílem této práce je porovnání dosavadních interpolačních metod s technikou Audio Inpaintingu. Navíc, k řešení optimalizačních úloh jsou využívány algoritmy založené na l1-relaxaci, a to jak ve formě analyzujícího, tak i syntetizujícího modelu. Především se jedná o proximální algoritmy. Tyto algoritmy pracují jak s jednotlivými koeficienty samostatně, tak s koeficienty v závislosti na jejich okolí, tzv. strukturovaná řídkost. Strukturovaná řídkost je dále využita taky pro odšumování zvukových nahrávek. Jednotlivé algoritmy jsou v praktické části zhodnoceny z hlediska nastavení parametrů pro optimální poměr rekonstrukce vs. výpočetní čas. Všechny algoritmy popsané v práci jsou na praktických příkladech porovnány pomocí objektivních metod odstupu signálu od šumu (SNR) a PEMO-Q. Na závěr je úspěšnost rekonstrukce poškozených zvukových signálů vyhodnocena.
