Dance artist. The ways and the differences of forming a professional dance artist at the dance conservatories in Prague founded after the year 1989.

This diploma thesis is focused on three dance conservatories located in the heart of Czech Republic´s capital city Prague, founded after the year 1989. The three dance conservatories of focus are the Duncan Centre Conservatory, Dance Center Prague and Dance Conservatory of Ivo Váňa - Psota in Prague. All of these conservatories provide both full secondary education, and higher secondary education in dance; however, what makes them different is their unique teaching technique. The means by which they teach, how they apply different ways, forms and styles to shape the incoming professional czech dancer, are precisely the main points covered in this research. The thesis also contains the chacteristics, history, education programme and examples of the most important dance artists in the history of these conservatories. In conclusion, are summarized samples of anonymous questionnaries for students and graduates of these schools.
Hypermobility and Dancing

This bachelor work deals with problematics of hypermobility. The first part contains anatomic analysis, etiology, history and prognosis of hypermobility. In my work I further state, what kinds of hypermobility exist, which fuctional tests are used for discovering this handicap and fields which deals with this problematics. The next part is determined for dancing profession and pedagogy of dance. Here, I also mention the principles needed for everyday routine movements, but also to dancing trainings. In my work, there is also an interview, which comes out from a personal experience of a ballet dancer.

My Work is mainly based on interviews and private archives and files of former members and Founder of the Ensemble.
Effect of dance movement education on students and teachers of primary school after four years of practice

Bachelor theses on the theme "Effect of dance movement education on students and teachers of primary school after four years of practice" deals with monitoring of the situation in primary schools where the dance movement education has short tradition and describes its influence and impact on students and teachers of primary schools. Another issue of this thesis is to clarify questions, which are related to the implementation of dance movement education in educational programs. In this thesis is described in which moments the original vision of dance movement education deviates from the current situation and which role dance movement education plays in the field of basic education. All findings were measured from three points of view: pupils and teachers of primary schools and professional dance teachers. Form of processing was sociometric survey.
Function of Breath

Breath is integral part of dance and human life. The objective of bachelor thesis is to present features of breath that is advisable to realise in dance pedagogic profession, and elements involving breathing. The thesis includes anatomical and physiological description of breath and brief introduction of nerve control of body. Breath is analysed as movement, rhythm, link and energy in the thesis. Taoist vision of breath is source of information for form of breath. Posture and psyche are two main magnitudes that affect breath. Posture, psyche and breath are in permanent contact and we cannot divide them. At the end is possible to find bases of techniques dealing with breath and movement: concentration, imagination, awareness and scheme.
Application of kinesiologic Knowledge in Technique of Martha Graham (Floor Work)

The technique of Martha Graham is 80 years old. Dance world is constantly evolving forward and looking for to new options how healthy work with your body. I do not want to modernize technique of Martha Graham, but I would like to find optimal conditions for understanding of this dance technique. Therefore, I want to pay compensation and corrective exercise, from which in turn come out in the basic positions and exercises the Martha Graham (floor work). The aim is to draw attention to some weaknesses to the correct implementation of various exercises in the technique of Martha Graham. Important is to prepare a dancers for the better execution of each exercises and further develop the principles of dance technique. Concentrate on the fact that the dancers had learned the correct posture, focusing on the momentum of the pelvis and hips.
Merce Cunningham and his Technique

This thesis approaches the personal life, artistic creation and dance technique of American dancer and choreographer Mercier Philip Cunningham. The first part focuses on the artist?s life stages during his evolution in dance from the beginnings of his choreographic work, and seeks the origins for the establishment of his own dance company ? Merce Cunningham Dance Company. A chronological overview of his extensive repertoire is also incorporated. The second part deals with collaboration, connection and interaction among the dance, music, design and film fields during the artistic work of Merce Cunningham. Following the author?s experience with Cunningham technique, the final part is directed to an understanding of this dance technique, its principles and specific elements used in contemporary dance world.
Contemporary Dance in TV Broadcasting

The thesis deals with the phenomenon of dance in television broadcasting with an emphasis on contemporary dance, which is defined as a manner of artistic expression (dance as a way of entertainment is not in focus). The goal of this thesis is not only to describe the historical relationship between dance and television from the very beginning of broadcasting, but particularly to point out the possibilities of working with dance on the small screen and to provide arguments to support the idea that contemporary dance on television has the potential to be an impressive event. An essential part of this thesis is also an analysis of the current situation in the Czech Republic and a proposal of issues for producers in providing dance on the screen to the Czech viewer in the future.
Specifics of Education Acting for Dancers

This work is called Specifics of Education Acting for Dancers. I follow the need to develop and enrich the possibilities of expression of a dancer as a stage performer. The thesis is divided into four chapters, three of them are basic: acting technique inside, outside and deep inside. I work directly with exercises tailored to the dancers with accentuation of the specifics of their artistic expression. Trying to explain that as well as dance technique can also learn the overall quality artistic expression, where the expressive actor line is an integral part. For this purpose, I modified some of the exercises and methods of Jacques Lecoq. The work also includes an outline of any practical lessons and practical demonstrations on the DVD.
DANCE EDUCATION IN VYSOČINA REGION IN PERIOD 2010 ? 2011

The objective of the bachelor thesis is to survey the situation on dance education at Elementary Schools of Arts in Vysočina region during 2010-2011. The survey was executed at three schools in Humpolec, Havlíčkův Brod and Jihlava. Very good level of dancing knowledge is observed among pupils at all schools. They also dispose of very good dancing skills (regarding their age) and they are ready to perform with success. After graduating they may be eligible to study at special secondary dance schools. They take part in competitions either of regional or of national level. All schools organize seminars and workshops for pupils and they invite well-known dancers and teachers. Teachers from Jihlava and Humpolec educate themselves on a regular basis to improve their knowledge and to gain newest educational techniques.
