Factors affecting the motivation and attitudes of public sector employees with regards to solving problems in public administration (current status, perspectives, and suggestions for change)

This diploma thesis focuses on determining the internal and external factors (both economic and social) that affect the motivation of civil servants to conduct and perform their work activities in ministries of the Czech Republic.The research that forms the basis for it is primarily a follow-up to the quantitative research of prof.PhDr.Arnošt Veselý, Ph.D. The diploma thesis is multidisciplinary and not only deals with human resource management in terms of its functionality, efficiency, and effectiveness, but also in terms of its influence on, among other things, public policy, sociology, psychology and public economics. The theoretical part is based on the theory of motivation (Madsen), McGregor's theory of X and Y, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the theory of bureaucracy (Weber). The work is theoretically and methodologically anchored in the findings of alternative action theory (Weinberger, 1997), the ontology of ethical phenomenon (Hartmann, 2002) and the concept of public accountability (Veselý). The empirical part includes the results of qualitative research conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with 17 ministerial officials across 8 ministries of the Czech Republic. The image of Germans' lives in Czechoslovakia after 1945 in contemporary fiction and its transformations

This bachelor thesis consists of two major parts. The first one is a theoretical part. It is concerned with historical context of the 19th and 20th century. The second part is practical. It focuses on Czech-German relations at the same time. It deals with the depiction of Germans and the stereotypes that are based on the fictional works written after 1989. These works are Kateřina Tučková´s Vyhnání Gerty Schnirch, Jakuba Katalpa´s Němci, Anna Zonová´s Za trest a za odměnu, and Peníze od Hitlera from Radka Denemarková. Another part of the work is the analysis of every individual book, afterwards they are compared with each other. For the further comparison there are mentioned other works from 1945-1989. Professional terminology is also a part of the work.

The imaportance of support from European Structural Funds to the development of the town Rožmitál pod Třemšínem

This thesis deals with subsidy received city Rožmitál pod Třemšínem, as a territorial authority unit. The work consists of two parts. First theoretical part is composed of individual chapters that help to create complex ideas about the problems regional policy of the European Union and the Czech Republic, the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund, municipalities and their economic relationship. The second part is in the beginning created the profile of the city Rožmitál pod Třemšínem. Other chapters have dealt with the practical part of the subsidy policy city Rožmitál pod Třemšínem and description of financial stimuli for the area. It is designed to work in a project that seeks to improve the quality of life in rural areas and increasing the level of public services of the city.

Relation between Co-operatives and Trade Unions

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess the current status of consumer cooperative in relation to the trade union. Furthermore, to establish the importance of the trade union within the cooperative, organization of the trade unions and cooperative involved in its structure, identification of the areas with the key role of the trade union (labour relations etc.) and the position of the trade union in the cooperative in comparison to the situation in multinational chains.
