Internet of things and navigation applications

This bachelor thesis is focused on the internet of things and GPS navigation applications. The first part of the thesis consists of theoretical basics to familiarize the reader with the internet of things, its development, areas of use and security. Currently, built in navigation devices and navigation applications in smartphones are used separately, the internet of things is going to change that. In the second part todays GPS navigation applications are analyzed and compared based on the selected criteria and it is verified if the navigation applications for smartphones can replace the built in solution of BMW X5. The applications are compared based on their functions. The aim of this thesis is to analyze each of the selected applications and compare them based on the selected criteria and choose the best replacement for the built in solution until there are combined solutions available with synchronization between the built in navigation system and a navigation application.

Analysis of a Marketing Communication in a chosen Czech Republic Market from the Perspective of Kotler Partial Strategy

The aim is to analyze the mass-media marketing communications companies in the lead, challengers, followers and nichers on Czech automotive market. The analysis will be based on data for ads on television, radio, print automakers entered the period of 2014 and informations on registration of producers in the same period. Information on the authorization together with the characteristics of each brand will be the starting basis for profiling groups of brands according to Kotler parcial strategy. Communication activities of the groups will be analyzed. Finally, it will be evaluated, whether companies communicate properly with respect to its position. Alternatively, it will be proposed recommendations for changes to this communication.

Valuation of particular company by method DCF Entity (or DCF Equity) and DCF APV and analysis of potential differences

The master thesis evaluates the company ZVVZ GROUP. The main focus is to link the aspects connected with the yield valuation method DCF APV (Discounted Cash Flow Adjusted Present Value), since this method has many advantages, although rarely used in practice. The DCF Entity method is chosen for comparison. This method is used much more often, despite methodological imprecisions, which are usually omitted. To demonstrate the advantages of the DCF APV method, I have decided to evaluate a complicated company ZVVZ, a. s. which has been transformed into holding ZVVZ Group, a. s.

Financial analysis of ZVVZ a.s.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the financial analysis of the company ZVVZ a.s. during the period of 2003 - 2007. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the methodological part are introduced theoretical bases for financial analysis. In the application part I closely looked at calculation of particular indexes which I used for the evaluation of the financial situation in analyzed company.
