Energy savings in pneumatic systems operations

Master’s thesis deals with energy savings in the operation of pneumatic systems. In the first part, the elements used in pneumatic systems are described and the theory of energy saving is researched. As the thesis is written in cooperation with SMC company, it also analyses energy saving audits carried out by this company. The practical part contains the results of measuring of selected most common problems related to energy waste and their application on a sample example. The practical part also includes documentation for further training of design engineers and a 3D model of a tutorial panel.

The purpose of this thesis is to propose improvements to commercial printer ZPrinter 650. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part describes the propellant components of 3D printers in general with focus on their engines. The second part describes the assigned 3D printer ZPrinter 650, also including photographs. The final part then proposes some improvements to make the printing cheaper.
