Diploma thesis The Influence of Stigma of Mental Illness on the Self-perception of Man in Depression deals with the concept of stigma in our society in general, further defines the concept of self-perception and describes the course of the disease of depression - especially its causes, symptoms, treatment options and coping with depression. This section contains interviews about depression treatment options. Furthermore, this work includes the stigma of mental illness, its structure and possible de-stigmatization of mentally ill. The final part of this work focuses on the impact of the stigma of mental illness on the self-perception of man in depression and its essence is based on guided interviews, which were made with people suffering from depression.

Zoologické zahrady versus práva zvířat a jejich ekologické souvislosti

The diploma thesis focused on ZOOs in relation to animal rights and environmental context. Zoological Gardens in Olomouc and Brno were chosen and compared, specifically giraffes breeding. A comparative method and the SWOT analysis were used in the thesis. Another part of the study was a questionnaire survey. The aim was to evaluate the usefulness of the ZOOs. The results showed that ZOOs are not in concordance with the philosophy and principles of the environmental ethics and animal rights, however, they contribute positively to a sustenance of selected species and thus to their biodiversity and develop ecological mindset of visitors.
