Efektivnost energetického průmyslu v Evropské unii

The bachelor thesis deals with the energy industry in the countries of the European Union. The goal will be to evaluate and compare efficiency in selected EU countries in 2016–2019. The energy sector significantly affects the economic growth of each country and thus the situation of the given state. The effectiveness of EU countries was evaluated using a non-parametric method of data envelopment analysis. Furthermore, the change in efficiency over time at the level of individual EU states within the selected period will be examined, using the metafrontier estimation approach. The results show that the efficiency level is high in the given sector and the number of efficient units grows over time. The energy sector has a tendency of constant improvement.

Násilí na ženách v Nikaragui

The aim of the diploma thesis is to present an objective picture of the issue of violence against women in Nicaragua based on literature review and supplemented by personal research and findings from observation. This thesis defines terminology relating to violence against women. The author pays particular attention to the sociological aspects that may influence or explain this phenomenon. With the help of current statistical data maps the actual situation about the issue of violence against women in the Republic of Nicaragua. The paper presents the results of a field survey in the region of Carazo, where were the important information regarding the topic of violence against woman collected through semi-structured interviews. This thesis summarizes available information about violence against women in relation to the Republic of Nicaragua.
