Education social worker - history and present
HAJNOVÁ, Jitka
The bachelor thesis deals with the need for the position of school social worker. Nowadays, their activities at school and beyond are extensive and affect the complexity of services - services to pupils, services to the family and parents, and the services of teaching staff and school staff. The aim is to point out that the school social worker, as an expert in the social environment, can evaluate and solve important influences in it. The school is a fully structured system in the ecosystem, where subsystems, their social boundaries, the interrelationship of all relationships and elements need to be understood to achieve balance. Therefore, every school should have a social environment expert who can correctly analyze and look for opportunities to solve any imbalance. School social work should become an integral part of all schools. In its absence, a number of activities are shifted to teachers who are already busy. In the literary part, I will focus on the definition of basic categories (social work, social worker, school social work, school social worker, social pedagogue, pedagogue) and their competences, or job content. I will pay significant attention to groups of children in school education who, due to their problems, require increased attention. I will focus on factors influencing their behaviour and success in education. By using summary tables and graphs of the number of students registered in the M & Scaron statistics, MT will process the data and draw conclusions. I will support the argumentation for the need of a school social worker by incorporating my own practical experience, conclusions and possible recommendations.
